The South African church that invited rev. Dag Heward-Mills to preach has distanced itself from the sermon shared by Dag Heward-Mills on his visit to the Church after it incensed a lot of people.
Dag Heward-Mills was invited by the Grace Bible Church as a guest pastor to their 9am service.
Bishop Heward-Mills in his sermon at the Soweto-based Church described Homosexuals as “unnatural” and “unbiblical”.
“…You don’t find two male dogs, two male cats, or two male lions…even lizards, two male elephants, there is nothing like that in nature, it is unnatural, yes, there is nothing like that.”
His sermon angered a popular South African choreographer and radio personality Somizi Mhlongo who is also a known homosexual. He stormed out of the service and later posted a video on Instagram saying he wasn’t going to sit there and be offended.
In a sharp contradiction, the Grace Bible Church have emphatically made it known that they do not share the views of Bishop Heward-Mills on his homosexual stance.
In an interview with a South African media organisation, the spokesperson of the Grace Bible Church, Rev. Ezekiel Mathole, indicated that the Church is open to all manner of people with different views and opinions and different ways of life and will never discriminate against people with a variant way of life.
“The only thing we want to say as a Church is that we don’t discriminate against gay people and we will never do and have never done that. What was prevalent yesterday was that there was a contrary view that is out there. If you look in the Church it’s an open secret there are people who are pro-gay and there are people who are anti-gay”.
“We as a Church have stated that we welcome all homosexuals into the church and we don’t discriminate against people.”
The Church was also quick to add that this may not be the end of the relationship between the Grace Bible Church and Bishop Heward-Mills, despite the controversy he has generated as he will be called upon when the need be.
The remarks have outraged lots of people and have begun a homosexual rights debate in South Africa. Dag Heward-Mills is the founder and Presiding Bishop of the Lighthouse Chapel International.

The truth shall set you free. God bless you Bishop Mills.
God bless u Bishop Dag for tellin de world dat gay n lesbians is unatural
This is funny, the time is coming when men would pant for preaches who would preach what they want to hear. God also said we should take not when we see abominations of dissolation in holy places. The world is lost and because we want to welcome and win more souls to Christ doesnt mean we should accept every lifestyle in the church. If you go to church, you have to repent and be saved. Going to church and willfully living in sin is not a great idea.Salvation will get us to Heaven and some of our works will give us crown of glory there. God bless you and strength Bishop Dag at these moments. Jesus loves us and I belived he is glad at what bishop Dag said, what that gay guy is saying is of no use to the kingdom.
This gay person think he can ***barred word*** everyone because that is his way of life so everyone should respect that but he will not respect other peoples way of life and opinions. In the first place why did he go to church at all if preaching against gay is something that offend him. The church preach from the bible and the bible is against being gay. What about arm robbery? Some people consider that as their way of life. Will he accept and respect that way of life. Those pastors who for fear of men try to make these people feel good all the time with their sermons should consider their relationship with God who they think has called them into ministry. There is something wrong. Some of these gay men are infiltrating into churches with the intention of silencing the pastors from preaching the truth hence church leaders ought to be wary of these people and preach the truth.
You are no better than the gay people that all of you are insulting here and the pastor is wrong for using such words to describe human beings. Note that the same Bible says a lot of things are an abomination/ disgusting to God including divorce. Why do these pastors always focus on gay gay gay rather than on divorce, corruption and the likes?
the pastor didn't judge anyone or group of people. He just stated what the Bible says.I f you believe the Bible why should you be offended?
am very proud of u bishop.God bless u.
very sad...People r justifying negativity in the church,, God does not hate a sinner but rather hates since..
what does Leviticus 20:13 says " if a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination.....
