President Nana Akufo-Addo will today outdoor a new Inspector General of police as the current IGP, Mr John Kudalor retires. .
Mr Kudalor who was sworn in as IGP by former president, John Mahama on February 19, 2016 called on President Akufo-Addo Wednesday morning to officially notify the presidency of his retirement
Mr Kudalor, committed to reducing road accidents in his tenure at the high office.
He also sought to eliminate corruption in the force, arguing the police service had no excuse to falter in the performance of their duties.
The IGP promised to visit and equip all regional offices of the police service to ensure that their performance were accurately measured.
Meanwhile, head of the General ICT Department of the police headquarters in Accra is likely to be Kudalor’s replacement.
