Sexotherapist Dr Larry Boateng has asserted that more than half (65 per cent) of married women in Ghana seek sexual pleasure outside marriage.
He made the revelation during a discussion on successful marriage on Class FM’s Executive Breakfast Show.
The family counsellor told host Moro Awudu on Thursday, May 11, that times have changed and by the time couples settle down the women may have been exposed to different kinds of men with different sexual experiences and if the husbands do not live up to such standards, the wives tend to seek pleasure elsewhere.
He stated that research has proven that cheating wives are “very common in Ghana now”, adding: “Do you know why? They [the husbands] are not performing.”
Dr Boateng further explained that financial challenges have contributed to husbands, often the providers in the family, spending so much time working to earn enough income for the family at the expense of quality time with their spouses.
“The man will leave the house by 5:30am and go to work, get back by 10pm or 11pm very tired. He will provide all the necessities of the family, give money and everything. But I am telling you that if you are not able to ‘fire’ your wife somebody will ‘fire’ her for you,” he emphasised.
He identified sex as a major challenge in marriage and encouraged couples to learn how to satisfy each other in bed.
“If the woman demands it in the night, do it, but if not you can adopt the dawn one. You have gone out you come back, shower and sleep. At dawn, around 3am or 4am, you will wake up very energetic and strong and that is when you can also do the work,” he admonished.

I am not a religious person but I think God really takes His favours off you when you cheat with a married woman. the temptation can be great but please make reference to what is in the Bible o. yooo. even the jujuman who doesn't go to church knows this
AM SOO SCARED TO EVEN MARRY SINCE THEY ARE ARE CHEATING. HMMMMMMMM GOD HELP US MEN
are you trying to tell me the women don't work?
Esi, you are so so so funny. lol
Interesting!!!
Prof A.K. Appiah, you gave all the answers! You are very right!! On what statistics does the author, so called Counsellor cum therapist base his assumption? What solid evidence does he have to tarnish good image of most honest women of Ghana?
Truth does not kill! These are some of the TRUTH that should come from the church not prosperity. Also salvation & not materialistic wealth to show to the world God has indeed blessed you. Sometimes you do not have to be a mega church pastor in Ghana to PROCLAIM the gospel. God uses the ***barred word*** things of these world to teach even mega churches pastors common sense. On that day the sad aspect will be a mega church pastor will miss the kingdom of God because of their materialistic preaching & wealth. Search truth & God will definitely find Him.
