Ex-president John Mahama says the death of one of Multimedia’s standout presenters should help the country turn its attention to health care delivery.
He does not understand why Kwadwo Asare Baffuor Acheampong and other young outstanding Ghanaians including the late Komla Dumor will die at such a young age.
While the country griefs in pain over the loss of KABA, the president said it is about time to consider reducing the talk about politics and rather turn attention to health and revamping the country’s health care delivery system.
KABA, 37, died on Saturday morning in a rather shocking manner. He had reported to work the day before but had to leave after complaining of feeling dizzy.
He was later rushed to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital when the sickness got worse but was pronounced dead not long after.
His death has shocked many, with hundreds trooping to the Multimedia Group to commiserate with the family.
On Wednesday the Ex-president arrived at the Multimedia HQ to also sympathise and solidarize with the Group.
He was in the company of some of the top members of the National Democratic Congress including Greater Accra Regional Chairman Ade Coker, Alhaji ABA Fuseini.
Wearing all black with little expression on his face, the ex-president said he was absolutely shocked by the death of the young Ghanaian presenter.
He signed the book of condelence opened on behalf of the late KABA who died at age 37.
The president was distraught that many young lives are cut short at their prime, a concern he shared in the message he wrote in the book of condolence opened on behalf of the late KABA.
Speaking to the media gathered, the ex-president described the late presenter as a "man with his own style", who "puts the chips where they were."
“It is that harsh objectivity we are going to miss,” he said.

A whole president died in his office and you took over. For 4 years we did not see or hear anything from you. Now that you are out, you are saying they should use someone's death to do what? Is this man himself at all? Is it the loss of the elections that have traumatized him so much that he is beginning to lose his senses?
Ah, Ah,Ah, you were JUST president of Ghana in 2016. Did you not know the state of health delivery in Ghana? No wonder they described you as INCOMPETENT!
OOH, YOU SHOULD HAVE USED MILLS TO IMPROVE THE SYSTEM.
John mahama talks too much and every talkertive is a fo*l. He can't just ***barred word*** always opening his mouth wide over the bar and inviting insults, aah what type of Bole Bamboi president ebi dat always seeking attention when he has been booted out in a humiliating and disgraceful manner. President Kuffuor after his tenure sat home quietly or went abroad. After Atuguba declaring Mahama 5-4 verdict for Mahama left Ghana for vacation in the UK and never responded to anything when he came back but rather received delegations from abroad and Ghana, but look at how mahama is behaving in opposition like he is suffering from kpokpogbligbli attack. He hasn't come to terms with Ghanaians hating somebody who talks too much and insulting like he is doing. Former president Rawlings got disaffection from Ghanaians when he was talking too much during President Kuffuors time and then got affection when he kept quiet and even the people fought with those who insult him. Ndc haven't come to terms with Ghanaians they don't seem to know Ghanaians that Ghanaians hate arrogance, disrespect of the elderly, insults, impunity and show of power, ndc learn oooo learn aaba !!!
For real ? Did Mahama say that ? No I doubt coz he will be opening himself for insults ...... massa refrain from making such statements because you had every opportunity to change the healthcare system but you looted the coffers.
