Nigeria has pledged her support to Ghana as she prepares to give late President Mills a befitting burial.
Nigeria's Vice President, Mohammed Namadi Sambo, made the pledge when he led a delegation to call on President John Mahama at the Castle, Osu.
Mr.Samba said late President Mills was a true statesman and ECOWAS will miss him.
He said losing a sitting President is one unpleasant thing and his country shares in the pain and grieve.
Nigeria's Vice President also congratulated President Mahama on his new appointment, whilst lauding the smooth transition process.
President Mahama was grateful for the prompt response, considering that the Presidency had sent official announcement of the death of President Mills to President Goodluck Jonathan only two days ago.
President Mahama said the shoes he wears now are quite big and he will rely on their good counsel in pushing the vision of the late President.
