The NPPs former aspiring Member of Parliament for the Adenta constituency, Madam Frances Essiam, has responded squarely to a news item in the 8th March edition of the Informer newspaper which equated her as a political prostitute; by describing the editor as an empty human being full of gutter rubbish.
The Informer newspaper, a pro-government paper in an article titled Frances Eissiam Sneaks Back Into NDC, published that Ms. Frances Essiam has succeeded in tagging herself as the senior and leading political prostitute of Ghanas 4th Republican dispensation.
The paper further claimed that it has picked up strong signals that Frances Essiam is trying very hard to get back into the bed of the ruling National Democratic Congress and has carved an image of a person who swings among political parties without any conscience.
But in a sharp riposte to the publication, Frances Essiam divulged that Mr. Andy Kankam, who acts as the managing editor of the Informer newspaper would have taken severe slaps if he was closer to her as at the time she was speaking.
If that character was by me, he would have tasted a dose of his own medicine, she angrily said.
Madam Essiam noted that she has no intention whatsoever of rejoining the NDC, a party she ascribed as a group one couldnt rely on in times of stomach upset troubles.
She warned Mr. Kankam to stick to derogatory gutter rubbish and allow her enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in the NPP.
Speaking on Okay FMs "Ade Akye Abia" programme, Frances Eissiam revealed that she insistently received calls from Mr. Steven Akwetey who is the former NDC chairman for Nungua, and decided to meet him personally after the latter had requested they met in person to talk over pertinent issues.
The gentleman called and I went to meet him. He never disclosed to me in our conversation it was going to be based on me returning to the NDCWhen I got there he told me over 70% of NDC members wanted me back to the partyI told Uncle Steven that it would be impossible for me to do that (over my dead body). He said changes have taken place in the party and that all the people I started the DFP with have all returned. He gave me examples of Obed Asamoah and Bede Ziedeng, she said.
I am enjoying the peace in the NPP and I told him that when I nearly met my death at Koforidua, neither Professor Mills nor any NDC member apologized to me. They rather insulted me and others. I made it clear to him that I would never return to the party and if I could have changed my mind, I would have done it during the late presidents time and not a stranger like President John Mahama, she told Okay FM.
She vowed lastly to deal ruthlessly with Andy Kankam for deliberately hauling her into controversies for unethical reasons.
I would send Andy Kankam to the Fast Track High Court and not the Media Commission to put him on his toes, she added.
