The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has set May ending this year as its deadline for the biometric registration of all its eligible party members.
Currently, the registration which had started had been successful in the Western Region and from next week, Upper East, Upper West and Northern Regions would commence their exercise.
The General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia disclosed on Tuesday when the 2012 NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Dome/Kwabenya Constituency, Madam Sophia Karen Ackuaku presented ten computers and accessories valued at Gh� 25,000 to the party to aid the registration process.
According to him, the party initially had challenges with the biometric registration process but was hopeful the party would be able to work within the deadline to ensure latest by May ending, every member would get a biometric card.
Mr. Nketia said current registration process nationwide was important to know the total party members and that the computers would be useful to the party in the exercise.
Madam Sophia Karen Ackuaku said the donation was part of her support to the party and urged other party members to also contribute their quota to the development of the party.
Receiving the items, Dr. Kwabena Adjei, NDC National Chairman commended Madam Ackuaku and urged others to emulate the gesture.
He encouraged all NDC members who want the party to grow to contribute financially to help build the party.
