A communication team member of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Eric Ametor Quarmyne is calling for a paradigm shift in the governance structure of Ghana.
According to him, 57 years has been a waste because the leaders lack innovative ways of doing things.
Speaking on Asempa FMs Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday, Ametor Quarmyne bemoaned the over reliance of foreign donors by successive governments for help.
He noted that a country rich in mineral resources should not be seen begging for help if leaders think outside the box.
Mr. Quarmyne who is also a consultant at the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) underscored the need for leaders to be proactive to save Ghana from collapse.
I think there are so many things we could do to change things in governance. We are not challenging ourselves enough he stressed.
The NDC man also took a swipe at lame duck Ministers who only preoccupy themselves with routine work.
They [Ministers] are not challenging themselves enough; they are not being creative enough to complement governments efforts he stated.
Ametor Quarmyne said if the fundamental ways of doing things does not change, we can change governments a hundred times, nothing will change.
