Fred Agbenyo, Deputy Communications Director of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), has asked "so-called" members of Occupy Ghana to boldly declare their party affiliations.
Contributing to "Kokrokoo" on Peace FM, Fred Agbenyo insisted that the Occupy Ghana protesters who have recently revealed their intention to contest Parliamentary primaries should not hide behind the pressure group to advance their political ambitions.
According to him, the Occupy Ghana Parliamentary aspirants should stop deceiving the masses.
“What is stopping you from being bold and courageous to come out and say that you’re an NPP person? But you hide behind so-called civil society groups, so-called think tanks and the rest…They shouldn’t deceive themselves and others. Just be bold and say it.”
Meanwhile, George Andah, one of the key figures in Occupy Ghana has disclosed that he will surely be contesting the Ewutu Senya West seat and was hopeful his candidature will unseat the sitting Member of Parliament for the constituency and Foreign Affairs Minister, Hannah Tetteh.
