Former Asokwa Member of Parliament (MP), Maxwell Kofi Jumah, has claimed that footsoldiers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are now snatching girlfriends of New Patriotic Party (NPP) gurus.
This phenomenon, he said, has arisen as a result of the free cash being doled out by members of the ruling party.
“Now NDC footsoldiers are snatching our girlfriends from us…it’s true because they have the money…,” he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme.
The former Kumasi Mayor who is seeking a return to Parliament told show host, Kwadwo Asare Barfour Acheampong (KABA) that due to the current socio-economic hardships in the country, girlfriends of NPP politicians are ‘crossing carpets’ to their opponents.
He cited an incident in which a lady was nearly sacked from her home by the mother after she informed her that she was now dating an NPP politician.
Kofi Jumah further alleged that all known supporters and defenders of the government now own houses outside Ghana.
“Even when they have the money, they wouldn’t give you…as I speak, every NDC guy in this country owes a house in South Africa…,” he said.
