The era of students carrying so many text books to school will soon be over as President Mahama has indicated that hos administration intends converting them into an electronic module.
According to him, the text books for the various core subjects will be converted into softwares which will be put on tablets and distributed to Junior High and Senior High School students.
“Students will receive tablets that have all their core subjects on the tablet. If the pilot is successful, the programme shall be expanded,” he said.
President Mahama assured that a lot will be seen under the education sector once Ghanaians renew his mandate on December 7, 2016.
“We will provide accommodation for teachers who will accept postings to rural areas,” he added.
The President made this known at the highlights of the NDC's 2016 manifesto, Tuesday.
Colleges For Training Nursery Teachers
A Mahama-led administration when elected into office will establish Colleges of Education to train teachers in early childhood care.
According to President Mahama "our commitment will be to establish colleges of education for the sole purpose of training teachers in early childhood care and development. What we have done is we have added the two years of kindergarten to our school system. Unfortunately, while we are training teachers for primary, junior high schools and senior high school, we are not training teachers for early childhood learning and so normally it is done by daycare attendants and normally if you give the child a good start at the kindergarten, they are able to maintain it throughout their education. So we’re going to set up colleges of education that will train teachers who are specialised in training children at the early level from four years and upwards”

Why is it that Ghananias(some) are just shallow minded? Why can't you people just reason this once that we're at a stage where we should be taking very bold decisions. Can't we just for once make good use of our agriculture and the money we're going to earn? Ah! It's as if we're not thinking our is it that when you become president rational or meaningful ideas vanish into the air? How can you provide tab to every student when nurses don't have jobs, they're just in the house? Ah! are you ppl for real right now? We need to share the work load on nurses, provide more nurse in the various hospital to reduce frustration my dear, Mr President just focus on what we the ppl need not what you need to get votes, trust me,this ain't getting you votes. Be real Pls!
you cant even provided schools with common chalk, this tells me you are lying j mahama
"A Mahama-led administration when elected into office..." Should that not be when RE-ELECTED? since he is already the President? Or he is not? lol

Is our president becoming a comedian? He is not thinking of the unemployed graduates in the system, he's rather thinking of his greedy ways to create loot and share as always, just as it happened in Agambire case. How many people in the rural areas can afford to take care of their children at the universities? Why is he not thinking of subsidising to make public universities cheaper and easy for the poor to be able to attend? we are waiting
These are signs of desperation.
Mahama just fuk up waaaaa he be crimminal and a thiief
Just another avenue to create, loot and share. Just like the one-child one-laptop policy in which we were not exactly given the number of devices shared, I can see that same supplier being given another juicy but corrupt contract to siphon more of taxpayers money. Should the government go ahead (if they win the 2016 election), where is the electricity to recharge the devices?, what of students in boarding houses - who is going to bear the cost of electricity charges?, how many sockets are in those schools to recharge the devices? This government is indeed one which lacks ideas or just deliberately taking Ghanaians for ***barred word***.
LOOK AT THIS THI-EF STEALING PPLES IDEAS & TAKING THE OPPORTUNITY TO LOOT & SHARE AMONGST FAMILY, GIRLFRIENDS & FRIENDS AND THEN HE'LL TELL US HE'S WORKING FOR US! EVEN, COMMON ALLOWA KWRAA MPO IS CANCELLED, HOW MUCH MORE I TAB, 1 STUDENT? TSWEAAAA, KWATREKWA SE OB3 MA WO NTAMA A, TIE NO DIN!
