The Convention Peoples Party (CPP) is calling on the media to desist from granting interviews to two of its interdicted officers, Nii Armah Akomfrah and Ernest Kofi Yeboah.
According to a statement issued by the party, “the status of the said officers is in abeyance, on account of ongoing disciplinary proceedings involving them” -and thus finds it disturbing as the media continues to grant the said officers interviews on matters concerning the CPP.
Below is the full statement:
MEDIA RELEASE
Our attention has been drawn to the fact that a section of the media has been granting interviews to our two interdicted officers, Nii Armah Akomfrah and Ernest Kofi Yeboah, in connection with official matter of the Convention People’s Party (the Party).
The Party finds this development very disturbing, given the fact that the status of the said officers is in abeyance, on account of ongoing disciplinary proceedings involving them.
We hereby wish to entreat the media to desist from entertaining the above mentioned persons for purposes of interviews involving the Party.
The said officers are also encouraged to desist from making statements for, or on behalf of the Party, as that may undermine the Party’s Constitution.
It is our fervent prayer and hope that all media houses would channel their enquiries about the Party to the National Chairman and Leader or the Communications Director ( 0273464465) and any officer(s) designated by the Party for such purposes.

Those two suspended gentlemen represent the true aspirations of the rank and file of the CPP, that is why they continue to have a voice. The current Executives of the CPP, including Greenstreet, Kabila, and the Chairman, are only misera.ble sidekicks of the NDC who don't have any independent views of their own anyway.
This is one of the concert parties Kwaku Baako talked about. If the people are willing to grant interviews, what wrong will the be be committing. We don't seem to be serious in this country. Even as a party you can prganise yourself in peace and you want to rule the country. There should have just been two parties in this country, not all these concert parties parading and making noise to rule the country.
Odame, you said it right without missing the right words. When it was good for them, they trumpetted it as if it was the NPP destroying its self. Now the ball is in your court.
Now the CPP is having a taste of the bitter medicine huh? When it happened in the NPP. the likes of Kabila happily went to town feeding on interviews granted by Afoko, Crabbe and Kwabena. Now the game has been brought to their doorstep, and they are feeling the heat. When your neighbour's house is on fire......... Naaaniama!
