The assistant head of communications at the Electoral Commission [EC] has debunked claims of favouritism indicating that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) would have been disqualified if “there were mistakes” in their nomination forms.
In an interview with UTV’s morning show host Yaa Konama, Mr. Yussif Alhassan Ayuba indicated “we [commissioners] were shocked most of the presidential aspirants wanting to lead this nation could not fill the required forms without mistakes, to the extent that some candidates left blank their personal information pages. In addition every political party was given a guide book to help it be on course in filing the more than 100 pages nomination form correctly...”
According to him, the Commission did not accept the forms of the NDC and NPP just because they are the two leading political parties with strong party members; rather it was because they filled their forms rightly as required of them by the commission.
He stressed “we would have wished to give the disqualified presidential aspirants a chance to correct their nomination forms if we had our own laws under which we operate. Unfortunately, we cannot do that until the laws of this country is changed to permit us do that. In fact there is nothing we can do for them to contest the up-coming elections because we don’t depend on our own powers”.

Madam dont go there kraaaaaa!!! like u go smell pepper
EC your lie. if NPP or NDC made mistake in their filings your CAN NOT. and I repeat you dare not disqualify any of them, then there would be no election. say CHAOS CHAOS.
This girl fine paaa oooo.
f000lish EC commissioners.... Those supporting you for disqualifying parties on clerical errors will regret in the future. Next time a mischievous EC will disqualify all parties and leave the ruling party alone to stand. We must kill this mischief now....
This argument is for comic relief. If you disqualify all parties including the two main parties, will you have any parties to organize the elections for in order to have a winner? Your intentions have been exposed. None***barred word***!
Massa; this is complete FRAUD !!!!!!!and political disservice to mother Ghana ; the whole disqualification saga includes a laid down master plan by Mrs Osei to streamline the parties in particular those parties who represent a threat to the NDC party ; the orders from the NDC is clear ; Mrs Osei should apply every trick in the book move heaven and earth to allow Jon Mahama to win the next elections again but this will not happen because every body is vigilant this time besides the political conditions that existed during the 2012 elections does not exist anymore ; NDC's last hope is Mrs Charlotte Osei ; the problem for the EC is that most of the complaints against the EC borders on petty failure of the EC to observe or apply its own rules ; fraudulent completion of the application forms and duplication of subcribers ; to me it seems relevant that the matter will end up in court but the danger is the delays in court which may mean the Ec may plough its way to hold the elections in DEC 7th
EC SHOW PPP AND NDP WHERE THE POWER LIED.NEXT TIME MR NDOUM NEVER ALLOW NPP TO USE YOU TO ACHEIVE THEIR AIM.NEXT TIME YOU HUMBLE YOURSELF AND KNOW YOUR SMOOTHINESS LEVEL. POLITICS ARE NOT FOR BUSINESS MEN,YOUR MASTER DONALD TRUIMP IS ALSO SUFFERING.YOU PURPOSE IN LIFE IS TO DO BUSINESS.THEREFORE STAY FOCUS TO AVOID EMBARRASSMENT AND SHOCK.
