Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has called for a responsible and issue-based electioneering and not deliberate peddling of falsehood and phantom promises.
He said it is only political parties which do not have good and convincing campaign messages that resort to mudslinging and vile criticism.
Mr. Amissah-Arthur said this when he joined the chiefs and people of Wassa Amenfi Traditional Area in the Western Region for their Adimekesie celebration at Wassa Akropong. He said President John Dramani deserves commendations and not name calling such as “incompetent”.
The Adimekesie is celebrated annually by the chiefs and people of Wassa Amenfi in honour of their departed ancestors and chart a path for development for the ensuing year. Vice President Amissah-Arthur used the festival to climax his four-day campaign tour of the Western Region.
Also at the festival to pay homage to the chiefs was the flagbearer of the CPP, Ivor Kobina Greenstreet. The Omanhene of Wassa Amenfi Traditional Area, Tetrete Okuamoah Sekyim, was full of praise for the unprecedented development that has taken place in his area in the last for years.
He mentioned the completion of 42 CHPS compounds, more than 80 communities which have been provided with electricity, schools and completed and ongoing road projects. Tetrete Okuamoah Sekyim therefore called for a special relationship between the traditional authority and government to notch higher the rapid development of the area.
Vice President Amissah-Arthur said the Mahama led NDC government will continue to trumpet its achievements and challenges in the last four years to the people and the policies and programmes it will roll out in its second term to the people of Ghana.
The Vice President said the focus of government has been to the development of the country’s rural communities through infrastructure to improve their living conditions.
He said the rural communities also need to be developed not only to curb rural urban migration but also ensure equitable distribution of resources, aimed at bridging the urban-rural development gap.
Vice President Amissah-Arthur, together with Tetrete Okuamoah Sekyim and the Queen mother of the area inaugurated a one storey office complex for the Wassa Amenfi East District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service at Wassa Akropong.

John Mahama and almost all of his appointees are th!e.ves, vision11ess, c0rrupt and incompetent... That is why our country is on its knees... High inflation, high unemployment, very high interest rate, low wages etc etc.
I find it very shameful where irresponsible comments are made against state officials and our leadership. Being a president is not an easy task; more so, our country is still developing and faced with several challenges. Some of these challenges were not addressed by previous governments who also had their focus on solving other challenges. A coin has two sides and we can always find a reason to embrace or challenge initiatives, projects, policies etc. The most painful aspect is that, the individual citizens misuse, abuse, falsify, steal working hours and resources; whilst the stain is left for the leaders to bear. Leaders who try to institute change are also framed up, sabotaged and vilified with all sort of lies etc. Readers, we all know it is real in our society. Let us be responsible with our comments, have proof for accusations and resort to the legitimate institutions when highly dis satisfied. Being a member of another party does not create the liberty to abuse leaders with different ideologies. Let us all stay wise and build a nation with the appropriate values. Please be mindful that we all impact the success of our dear land. Let us brighten the corner where we are.....

In have just one message for you, veep, just one. "For the NPP to tell us that they have constructed roads, hospitals, bridges, schools and other projects is an exercise in mediocrity. Every government does these. " John Mahama, 2008 If you don't know by now that Ghanaians have gone beyond 90s inauguration of buildings and roads then think again. WE NEED SUSTAINABLE JOBS!
Mahama is not only incompetent, he is also a th--ief, cor-rupt, a failure, a pathological l--iar, pepertual borrower, woma.-nizer, a dru.nk, indecisive leader. He also chose another usel--ess person as vice president so he could always overrun him. Booth of them are so ***barred word*** that the economy of Ghana is on its knees and will grind to a complete halt in 2017 if he is allowed to continue his ste-aling and borrowing spree. He will sack 60% of civil servants to cut down emoluments to 40% as dictated by IMF.
Fine, he is not incompetent but he doesn't know his job. Ghana is in crisis. By the way, answer the questions from Dr.Bawumia.
