The Campaign Spokesperson for the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) Joyce Bawa Mogtari has disclosed that privately sometimes she has thoughts of President John Mahama possibly losing the upcoming December 7 elections running through her mind.
Ghana goes to the poll in about three weeks in what has been described as crucial election for both President John Mahama and largest opposition Flagbearer, Nana Akufo Addo.
Whereas President Mahama in the event he loses the election will become the first president under the Fourth Republic to be voted out of office in his first term, Nana Akufo-Addo is also most likely having his last attempt at the Presidency after two earlier failed attempts in 2008 and 2012 elections.
Mr Mahama in his first term in office has been credited with massive infrastructural development across the country such as construction of roads, schools, hospitals among others which his supporters have said is unrivaled in the country’s political history.
Some political watchers have said this creditable performance will most likely win him votes in the impending poll.
But the Spokesperson for his campaign, who’s also the Deputy Minister of Transport, Joyce Bawa Mogtari in an interview on Starr FM Wednesday, in response to a question by Host Nii Ardey Clegg whether she privately sometimes worry that the NDC will lose the election said:”That is a normal thing all the time, you are in power . . . you know you’ve done all the things that it takes to retain power, you do know that President Mahama deserves a second term in office, above all you know that your job depends on President Mahama being retained in office. So certainly, every now and then, you are doing something and you know this is great, we are almost there, then you ask yourself we need to get this done . . . you are always thinking about all these things and certainly I think every individual in politics in our part of the world more than anything does have moments where you actually pinch yourself and ask, are we doing things right, are we almost there and this will be with you until the elections are finally declared.”
She added: “But I do think that President Mahama has credited himself very well, he’s actually led this country with a lot of humility but I do think that for most Ghanaians they’ve been most appreciative of the efforts he’s put in despite the challenges he’s faced in his time as President. He’s listened whenever there’s been complaints and I think for some of the challenges even, we need to own them as Ghanaians and work to improve them as we go ahead. So I’ve no doubt that despite the challenges we face in terms of the acrimonious electioneering campaign going on presently, that he’ll definitely succeed and realize his ambition of becoming President for a second term.”

How did we go so wrong? Whether NPP or NDC, we need the right leadership in the right places. Imagine this lady presenting Ghana at an international forum to fight for Ghana on roads, etc. Does she have any clue about her job? You here Mahama touting his achievements for employing women into his administration. And this is what we get? Her comments about her job is so low I can't even say anything about it......
OH YES. THAT'S TRUE.THIS IS ANGELIC REVELATION. I MISTAKENLY VOTED FOR NDC IN 2012, BUT EVENTS AFTER HAS CHANGED MY MIND. IN 2016, I WILL VOTE FOR NPP.
The economy is not doing well. Lots of People are unemployed. Unpaid teachers and nurses, they are the ones you should be worried about and not your own job, madam.
Oh this woman paaa." your job depends on the president wining and staying in power" My advice to you is, pack your bags, find one nice student's mattress and go and sleep on the nice Kwame Nkrumah Interchange 24hr a day. Fried rice will fall from the sky and money fill your pocket. Next time you will understand when Ghanaian's cry about the ERCONOMY.
God has revealed to this campaign manager that NDC is gone. Mahama will be one term president for disappointing the good people of Ghana. They have empty the coffers of the country in the name of infrastructure development. Every Id i ot can borrow to build infrastructure. Your days are numbered we will surly vote NPP.
You see, all you are worried about is your job. Tell that to the thousands of Ghanaians out there without a job! You see now that infrastructure alone isn't the issue. If you are no more a minister and there are no jobs in the system, what Should we say? Pack your things and go. You think you can stay on for another 4 years to continue all the stealing and infrastructure deception. Gerrout!
I'M GLAD IT HAS FINALLY DAWNED ON YOU THAT THE NDC WILL LOSE AFTER DUPING GHANAINSA OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS. MAY GOD DESCEND HIS WRATH HEAVILY ON YOU FOR YOUR MASSIVE DEFEAT. IN FACT I WANT NDC TO BE OUT OF POWER. THEY ARE SUCKING GHANAIANS BLOOD. CAN YOU IMAGINE PAYING TAX ON A LOAN PLUS INTEREST. PLEASE GOD, I'M SUFFOCATING UNDER THIS GOVERNMENT.
Sister Joyce, I pray your fears come to pass. Mahama and the NDC should loose for a revival of the economy!
