GN Research, a subsidiary of Groupe Nduom, has debunked claims by some media organisations that the firm has predicted a win for the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December 7 polls.
The firm’s General Manager, Samuel Kofi Ampah, has indicated that their attention has been drawn to “a media sham on the Media Analysis and Public Opinion Survey report released a few days ago” and the reportage especially by Daily Guide newspaper “confirms our findings that the media is polarised and resort to disseminating half-truth or blatant lies”.
Mr Ampah stated on Friday, November 25, that the main objective of the Media Analysis and Public Opinion Survey was to ascertain citizens' perceptions about the media and their level of satisfaction with regards to how political issues are handled by the media.
“At the tail end of the survey, respondents' expectations for the next four years, and which presidential candidate they perceived could meet these expectations was asked,” he explained
Respondents’ expectations for the next four years included jobs, education, and health care, and the best candidates that can address these expectations, according to respondents were Nana Akufo-Addo or Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom.”
He emphasised: “We did not state that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will see victory in the upcoming elections as have been indicated by Daily Guide in its Thursday, November 24, 2016 publication.”
He pointed out that the statement published on Page 3 of the Daily Guide newspaper said: “According to the polls conducted by GN Research, 51% of Ghanaians are confident that the flag bearer of the NPP is the best candidate to address unemployment, health, and educational issues in the country when voted as president.”
This, he said was “never true” as the company did not state anything like that.
Rather, he articulated that GN Research reported: “Three major expectations to be addressed by the next the leader are jobs (51%), education (32%), and health care (28%). The best candidate that can address these expectations according to respondents were Nana Akufo -Addo or Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom.”

I love the polls because what the poll does is give NPP the false hope that they are winning. It also makes their supporters think they have won already and that most of them would be complacent and not go to vote. I would like owusu bempah to keep prophesying that nana Addo would win and I want more polls in favor of nana Addo, because their support base is likely to be affected by apathy and complacency. I wouldn't be surprised if Npp loses this election because a lot of their supporters listened to owusu bempah and the pollsters and stayed home. Fuulishness is what would keep them in opposition.
THEY SHOULD CONTINUE DREAMING OF WINNING. BY GOD'S GRACE NANA ADDO WILL LOOSE.
