President John Mahama during his last address to the West African Leaders gathered at the ECOWAS summit in Nigeiran capital, Abuja took an ooportunity to bid an 'emotional' farewell to the leaders.
The President announced that he was exiting office on January 6th, 2017 and would hand over power to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the NPP who emerged victorious in the December 7th polls.
The elections of 2016, he said has added another further to Ghana's democratic creditials. He also announced that transition was already underway in Ghana.
The President also invited all the heads of West African countries to the event which would be held at the sitting of Parliament at the Independence Square in Accra.

you can used 4 months to win election and in 4year loses election and God knows.by the way good job for your speech thank u for your service to mother ghana
Staging! How does it better? "Hypocritical humility " is the most volatile element in the universe; it soon gives full expression to the insidious peacock within the veil. His trying very hard to make a last-minute impression on the august audience hits me as unfortunate. A desperate appeal to emotions. Perhaps the Hollywood could have saved him from the soaking humiliation he has had to endure until now. He must be secretly thankful to Ghanaians for relieving him of the unseemly office of the presidency. After all, he (and his associates) has a chance to eat his fill of the national cake (plus the name, the exposure, the material riches, etc). He is a happy man, and in some regard, I suspect his losing the election is a good deal for him. Now he can go home and relax and revel himself with his booty, at least he hopes so. But I doubt he can have his purported "well-deserved rest after ...years of no rest". The scourge of his dream-shattering, corruption-riddled, insult-infested, arrogance-characterized, incompetence-branded government, will visit him for a long time to come.
I AM PROUD OF HIM
Mahama never ceases to be boring. As a leader you should exude confidence no matter what. Now he's talking like some chicken who has been beaten by the rain. That's why the people stuck with Nana Akufo Addo, even when he lost in the scandal hit elections in 2012, and after the SC declaration, he was full of conviction, spoke with alacrity and that propelled some confident in his followers who have followed him since.
ONE TERM PRESIDENT WITH 44.23% IN THE POLITICAL HISTORY OF GHANA. YOU LOST BECAUSE OF ARROGANCE AND PROPAGANDA WITH THE BABIES WITH SHARP TEETH SURROUNDING YOU. MR. EX-PRESIDENT NEXT IN 2032 SUROUND YOURSELF WITH WISE AND MATURED/OLD MEN TO ADVICE AND CRITICISE YOU WHEN YOU ARE GOING WRONG.( "NEA OTWA SA NO NNIM S3 N'AKYI AKYEA") Proverbs 6:6 Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!
JM is a humble man and a hard working president. He will definitely officially invite them. I respect him and I know God is with him.
