RE: NPP Questions Last-Minute Ghc93m RLG Contract
The Ministry of Communications wishes to set the record straight on a misleading story with the above caption.
The decision to procure Set top boxes as part of the Digital Migration Process is a Cabinet decision. And the procurement process has travelled through the entire process up to the Central Tender Review Board. The Attorney General's Department- offered its opinion on the contract prior to signing.
The formal written request for an advance payment by the company, Rlg, against a payment guarantee has been scrutinized and further submitted to the Attorney General's Department for expert advice- due diligence.
The Ministry of Communications is therefore wondering the source and or motivation for this misrepresented account.
We wish to assure that the ministry has always operated professionally and will continue to do same even within this period of transition. We will continue to operate an open door policy and urge starrfmonline.com not to abandon the tenets of journalism.
Needless to say we wish to place on record that no money has been advanced to the company.

Am glad they going afterall. No money have been paid but there was an attempt to pay. What is he talking about. RLG or whatever and Zoomlion has duped the country enough. NDC is a failure. Last minute approval of contracts is corruption. They couldnt even take credit for implementing the Right to Information Bill.BS government under Mahama.
Tony Aidoo ( the erratic NDC ***barred word*** talker ) was given a hot slap around Kwame Nkrumah circle by an unknown person a few days after after Kuffour was sworn into office in 2001 . This time around who would you prefer receives that slap ??? 😡 Felix Ofosu-Kwakwe 😡 Okudzeto Ablakwa 😡 Koku Anyidoho 😡 Omane-Boama 😡 Kofi Adams Please kindly choose only one person wai ? 😂😂😂
This minister should sharaap because he is a major reason of the failure of the Mahama Administration. As a stammerer who has to hit the ground and knock his head before he can say'THE'How could you possibly be an effective communication minister?NDC just dont have the right people!anyway,it is good they are on their way out and give way for a better managers with a true good agenda for Ghana and the competence to carry the country to the promised land
Please we don't need you anymore, just go and leave us in peace, go, go, go, enough of your lies and propaganda, you have still not realized why Ghanaians rejected you, yoooo,.
That contract awarded was purely politically motivated. RLG does not assemble Set Top Boxes in Ghana but were awarded with the contract last minute. Dr. Nduom's GN Electronics company is the only company currently assembly Set Top Boxes in Ghana and were in bid for the contract only to be told at the last hour that they have been dropped because it's not their government in power. RLG as of today has not built their ICT park they promised to build meanwhile they have been awarded to assemble boxes for the Digital Migration. Crook and corrupt Minister (Omane Boamah) and NDC government have awarded it to their own (Create, loot and share). The new government must review that contract.
there is nothing misleading about the story Minister. You have rather confirmed the story is true
those who comment excuse me say might have not been to kg before, did you read his statement at all.he said no money has been paid to that company and is a misleading information and yet u guys talking rubbish.
Stealing, corruption, criminality are the trademarks of the NDC and they would never stop it. It's a good omen that Ghanaians cut them short, otherwise they would have collapsed Ghana in the next four years! These id--io-ts are just crazy people! Nana Addo should make sure, he gets people to investigate all contracts, and find out the criminal ones and prosecute all those who have duped, stolen and corrupted the country resources!
NDC will kill us Hmmm no problem a special prosecutor Nana addo will set would investigate and everybody found guilty would be made to pay
Kokontibaa, you're perfectly right. Mahama and his NDC government could have easily plunged the nation into chaos with their deeds. Create-loot-and-share, unpresidented corruption everywhere! One would have expected that now that they're on their way out they would show some remorse but that's far from the case. They want to persist in their nefarious activities till the very last microsecond! They will be crying "witch hunting" when they're being brought to justice, but so long as there are unrepentant witches there will be hunters to pursue them.
