Sources in government has disclosed that a list of 218 vehicles were received from the previous Mahama led NDC government.
The vehicles includes 173 serviceable vehicles and 45 unserviceable vehicles.
It is in that vein that the Director of Communications at the presidency, Eugene Arhin, informed the people of Ghana about the over Two Hundred (200) missing vehicles from the presidency.
These 200 vehicles were given to officials of the past NDC government to use and to return same to the Presidency upon being booted out of office.
There are a few facts of this issue:
1. The government received a Total of 218 vehicles.
a. The government received 173 serviceable vehicles.
b. The government received 45 unserviceable vehicles.
According to the incumbent government these are the bare facts.
The list of vehicles with the Registration Number, Make of Vehicle and the Chassis Numbers have been attached.
But on Thursday, Former Deputy Chief of Staff in the previous adminsitration, Johnny Osei Kofi, made public a list of 641 state vehicles that they handed over to the present government.
However, contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's 'kokrokoo' programme, recently appointed Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Scheme, Nana Boakye says the NDC should therefore tell the government of the Republic of Ghana who they gave the cars to so that they will be retrieved.
“Cars that are there as I talk now are 173. In fact, the Ford Expedition is not part ... That car is not part of the cars . . . 173 cars, the registration numbers are there. This is a list of cars that comes from Jubilee House. The car’s number, the vehicle’s description, chassis number, and the leader in Jubilee House who’s been given for use and any other thing whether it’s bullet proof or not bullet proof are all there. These are serviceable. Serviceable vehicles at the Flagstaff House are 173...Even Ford Expedition that was given as a gift to the President (John Mahama) and he said he gave that to the government. And that it is government’s and has been registered, and so it’s part of the State cars. It is not part of the vehicles. It’s not there. So, somebody should come and tell us. Somebody should show us where the vehicle is.” he said.
He added that the Ford Expedition that was given to Former President John Dramani Mahama as a gift, which the former President claimed to have added to the fleet of cars at the Flagstaff House, has also gone missing and is nowhere to be found.
The Presidency says the so called 641 cars are not at the presidency.

The Director of Communication at the Presidency, revealed earlier this week that some 200 cars at the presidency had gone missing.
Eugene Arhin said President Akufo-Addo was compelled to use his own four wheel drive for engagements outside Accra or a seven year old BMW salon car when he is in Accra.
The previous government has accused the Akufo-Addo administration of seeking to vilify them.
In a statement on Thursday, former Deputy Chief of Staff, Johnny Osei Kofi, said Mr. Arhin’s claims were “ false, baseless and without merit”, adding that they represented a continuation of the “distortions and bad faith that have characterized the conduct of the NPP side of the Transition team.”
The statement also explained that, “as part of the transition process, both the Assets and Logistics Committee on the NPP side were given a detailed list of all vehicles in the pool at the Presidency. More importantly, a total of 641 vehicles were listed and properly accounted for. This was duly captured in the handing over notes.”
Following the controversy, office of the Administrator General released a list of vehicles that were handed over to the current government by the previous one.
The list comprised 142 Toyota Landcrusers, 8 Toyota Hiluxes, 32 Toyota Avalons, 2, Toyota Fortuners, as well as 58 Toyota Avensis vehicles.

Never argue with a person with facts for he/she will make you look small. We all now await to see what factual information the NDC will come out with to defend themselves. They have still not learned their lesson that the NPP only come out with information when they have facts to back their pronouncements yet NDC always fall in their trap by answering with propaganda. The jury is now out so let us see who has credible information.
so does it mean total of 242 has been given? and if so then the remaining once are over 300 plus, NDC plss if u have any car bring it cos is for the state, our tax be that oo just bring it before u see our action yoooo
So must all the 641 cars be driven and packed at the presidency? is it how it has always been done?
Where are the fo*ls who are going to demonstrate for ste*ling state assets? Where are the idi*ts who out of bad faith against Ghana are going to demonstrate to justify the those stolen vehicles belonging to Ghana?and must Ghana have all 641 fleet of cars at the presidency when people are suffering ?and when Hon. Otiko Djaba tell ' s you John mahama is wicked and has the heart of a devil ndc st*pid irrelevant mps go gaga. I can't understand why ndc are so obsessed with cars that when they were giving power in 2000 they stole cars, when they came back in 2009 they seized cars and 2016 after their unprecedented gargantuan humiliated defeat they've stolen 200 cars? Are cars properties to the ndc? I tell you always ndc behave exactly like the primit*ve tribe of Papua New Guinea. Aaah! A party the owner and founder describe as unco*th,uncultured, evil dwarfs and babies with sharp teeth he describes people in his own party as being out of civilization and these are the people their own got the chance to be at the EC and Supreme Court to impose them on Ghanaians to lead us into a ditch. A country which was envied even by the west was driven by primit*ve people into their way of life which was out of this world. God should have mercy on us not to lead us into ndc temptation. Ghana can't take ndc. They have nothing to offer this nation, they lack wisdom, knowledge, enlightenment, civility, sensitivity, humour and compassion they just evil. God Bless the NPP and give them lot of wisdom, knowledge and passion to move our country to progress and prosperity for the people to have peace of mind and happiness. God damn ndc, never again to be a party in Ghana. They are satanic verses even after they've been sent away they still tormenting the people. May the good Lord whose spirit sent these evil doers away sh*t them up. They making too much noise and disturbing the country, evil ndc go away from us.
