Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Obiri Boahen has refuted allegations that the party's vigilante group, Invincible Forces, has forcefully taken over the Kintampo waterfalls.
The Invincible Forces were alleged by a traditional ruler at Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo Region to have driven away the authorities of the waterfalls and taken over management of the site.
The group was accused of partly contributing to the tragic incident that occurred at the waterfalls last weekend, due to their shoddy maintenance of the facility.
But the NPP Deputy Chief Scribe debunked the claims in an interview with Class FM, saying "I doubt if the Invincible Forces have taken over the management of the Kintampo Falls. I don’t have any information to that effect . . . Some people claiming to be Invincible Forces of NPP in the area took over the facility and all efforts to get them out have been unsuccessful."
Speaking in relation to the comments made by Obiri Boahen, the Managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide, Kweku Baako has cautioned him to stop talking.
Kweku Baako feared Obiri Boahen may make a blunder if he continues to talk to the media.
He noted that, as for media practitioners, they will keep asking questions and should the NPP Deputy Secretary continues to make comments in the air waves; he may fall into the media trap.
“He shouldn’t talk too much. It’s not every issue that when radio personalities call him that he should talk," Mr. Baako advised.

I agree with you to the letter. That should tell you that politics has a way to bring the worst in any human being. There were so many fine gentlemen in the erstwhile John Dramani Mahamah governemnt that people really looked up to, but due to politics, made a mess of their integrity and their intelligence. It is no doubt NDC lost due to some entrenched position to issues which a lot of Ghanaians thought were wrong but NDC chose to defend same. Such demeanor was interpret to be arrogance and being propagandist. One would expect that individuals in the current ruling party would learn a big lesson from the flaws of their opponents and better their lot when the need arises. It's unfortunate no lessons have been learned after all. To which i say Politics is really a demon.
i think Nana Obiri Boahen believes that when you talk like the way he is talking then he will be liked by the NPP fraternity. A lawyer of his caliber who has many young lawyers under him in His Chambers in Sunyani should tread a path who shows maturity and levelheadedness. I have been so disappoint over his utterance. its been so unlike a learned person who many have looked up to in Sunyani. The young lawyers under his care are so good and i think, he is making a mess of them now. Nana Obiri Boahen, please stop these because you are disappointing Sunyani people.
I find it difficult to believe that Boahen is a lawyer. Commonsense should tell him that he is following the path of Felix Kwakye and the rest. And see where it led them. President failed to talk and suffered the consequences of their uncouthness. President Nana Addo and the leadership of the NPP are keeping quiet and this Boahen may lead them to Mahama's destination. NPP owes Kweku Baako for the work they should have done.
lawyer for cassava and crocodile cases, does not know when it involves human beings. very simple ghanains should leave him alone
Senior Journalist.. I was rather hoping you will advise him on the way he talks and the venom that spits out of his mouth. This day and age in our democracy and he keeps talking about an arm for an arm and a leg for a leg. when do we get out of this mess? The president is a firm believer in the rule of law, so why dont we lead by example for a better Ghana.
I think this is a good piece of advise and Obiri Boahen should learn not to respond to everything and anytime some media men call upon him,he can defer and allow the spokespersons of the party to speak to the subject, it is not prudent for the general secretary to take up that duty, watch these traps NPP.
He is a kid so allow him, when he grows, he will learn when to speak and when not to. They will never learn
