The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Yunyoo constituency has revealed he was reduced to tears in his attempt to meet former President John Mahama at the flagstaff House.
Hon. Joseph Naabu Bipoba said aides of Mr. Mahama prevented him from seeing the then president when he had pressing issues to discuss.
The outspoken NDC MP made this known in an exclusive interview with Adom News’ Parliamentary correspondent Abednego Asante Asiedu.
His comment comes on the back of the simmering tension and anger in the opposition NDC after its defeat in last year’s general elections.
Former national executives are pointing accusing fingers at some current executives and government appointees for their defeat after running the most expensive campaign in the history of the NDC.
Even though a committee led by Prof. Kwesi Botchwey has been formed to probe the humiliating loss, the party leaders continue to trade insults in the media.
Whiles others are blaming former President Mahama for the electoral defeat, others are calling on him to contest in the NDC’s upcoming primaries ahead of the 2020 general elections.
But Joseph Naabu Bipoba who belong to the minority group maintains that Mr. Mahama will “mess up” big time should he lead the NDC in the 2020 elections.
But NDC MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa on JOY FM’s Newsfile programme said the confusion in the party will soon end.
He indicated that the current strife between current and past executives across the country will not lead to an implosion.
Mr. Ablakwa who was a former deputy Education Minister in the erstwhile Mahama government is optimistic the committee will handle the issue and solve it amicably.

My brother Joseph Naabu what agenda are you pursuing? You want popularity? Please that's not how to get it. If you want to be on the winning side just try crossing carpet to the NPP and see. How do you see yourself in the mirror? A face that portends to know better than John Mahama? Then look well again. I don't think so.
Since NPP won the elections, you have been running down the NDC and the ex-presidend. You are certainly doing the bidding for your brother Bugri Naabu and the NPP. My brother, if the kitchen is too hot for you, get out. Resign and join NPP.
The seemingly misunderstanding that hit the NPP in the run up to the 2016 wasnt to this magnitude of NDC's confusion and yet u hardly hear NPP capitalising on this. This clearly demonstrate the maturity of NPP as a political who doesnt prey on NDC internal crisis as the later did to the former. If u throw a stone against a wall unless the unexpected happens it will come to you. Mahama NDC in turmoil nemesis at it work!
