Deputy Majority Leader Adwoa Safo has denied asking President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to purchase Kantanka SUVs produced locally by her father Apostle Kwadwo Safo.
In a disclaimer copied Peacefmonline, the NPP MP for Dome-Kwabenya stressed it is an imposter who has created a fake facebook account using her image.
"I have never authored those words on the said Facebook page which the writer claims to be my official page,” Hon Adwoa Safo stated.
Re: Adwoa Sarfo challenges President to buy her father's vehicles
My attention has been drawn to a publication on the Ghanaweb.com news portal with the headline 'Adwoa Sarfo challenges President to buy her father's vehicles' and attributing the source of the story to my official facebook account.
Same publication has been reproduced on other news portals and gone viral on various social media platforms.
I would like to state that I have never authored those words on the said Facebook page which the writer claims to be my official page.
The said official Facebook page bearing the name Adwoa Sarfo Kantanka and several others created in my name are fake and don't represent me. I do not bear the name Kantanka. Besides, my name Safo is not spelt with an 'r' (Sarfo) as depicted by the impersonator.
I have taken steps to report those pages to the appropriate authorities.
I would however entreat all media practitioners to double check their facts from my office which is opened 24/7 whenever they want to do any publication about me.
I would also like to urge all those who have been impersonating me and using my name for all kinds of things on social media to immediately put a stop to it.
I would not hesitate to institute a court action against anyone caught impersonating me.
Thank you.
Signed:
Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo
(MP, Dome/Kwabenya, Deputy Majority Leader of the Parliament of Ghana and Minister of State in charge of Procurement).

l don't think we need this response from you, what is wrong asking the President Nana Addo to buy your father's vehicle? long before the elections Hon. Osafo Marfo called on Ghanaians to patronize made in Ghana vehicles , so what is the big deal here?
the cars are not made in ghana. they're manufactured in china and assembled in ghana. an international media exposed this last year. also why does this entire sarfo family bleach? it is so sad
Where from this skin bleaching ***barred word***. Its her right to skin bleach or lighten her skin for a perfect photo caption if she so wishes, however my advice to you is to stop complaining about what you said or what you said not. Learn to live with it, that brought you to power.
@Address the issue of also bleaching your skin. I can't and couldn't agree more with you. If I see highly educated women "bleaching" themselves, it really puts me off. Look at the electoral commissioner.
There's nothing wrong with making that suggestion to the government to buy the Kantanka cars. It will be best in the interest of the country to support made in Ghana goods. We need to support our own and be proud of the things we make as a country. There's so much division and tribalism in this country and we have to put that aside and come together as Ghanaians and build this beautiful nation. Long Live Ghana
Well but what is wrong in suggesting that the government buys Ghanaian made products. I thought I heard the president saying he is all for Ghanaian products. I have also seen him wear Ghanaian made shirts. I think it is awesome to have you say that the NPP Government spends money in local investments rather than than send the money to a foreign company. It makes much sense, it helps advertise the company and position the company to develop their products. If you have not said that then please tell him to do that.
If it is durable, economical, robust for our needs why not? Will it not generate more employment locally and grow the Ghanaian industry. Finally will it not cut down our import bill and enhance the Ghanaian cedi. Why promote foreign content and kill our own. Adjoa and NANA, go all out and reward the Ghanaian entrepreuner, while boosting our economy. IT IS COMMONSENSE, and global practice.
It is very unsightly to see your skin bleached like Lordina Mahama. As public figure you must do well to be a model for the younger generation. Bleaching causes skin cancer and the odor on the body is repugnant. Adwoa, stop it now. Your face look too much like toy.
Adwoa don't go far to the ndc, they are really sick and has no message and think any nons*nse can do the trick for them, instead of them taking advantage of the good policies by the change they still think politics is the shortest way to make money so are waiting their time and days on us*less things forgetting time is too short and you must move on with any opportunity at hand. Lazy idi*ts have no sense to think far so are sitting on their as*ses thinking of the imposibility of coming back to power. Adwoa they need help if you could give them by offering medication for opposition.
