The self-acclaimed ‘darling boy’ of former President John Dramani Mahama, Kwaku Appiah widely known as Appiah Stadium says his viral telephone call recording with the former president was staged at a gunpoint.
He alleged that some military men held his throat and threatened him to say certain things against the NDC while speaking to the former President.
The Kumasi-based NDC serial caller has been in the news over the couple of weeks for raining abusive words on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo – he tagged the president as a drug addict and likening him to an ape.
He was later invited by the Bureau of National Investigations [BNI] for interrogation but the president in a statement noted that he was not interested in the case – hence, Appiah Stadium was freed.
The controversial serial caller after his release was captured in a video speaking on phone with a person believed to be former President John Mahama.
In the video which went viral on social media, Appiah Stadium pleaded with the former President to intervene on his behalf as some appointees of the erstwhile NDC government wanted him imprisoned by the current government.
But, in his newest video circulating on social media, the staunch NDC support has alleged that he was threatened by soldiers to say bad things against his party (NDC).
“During my conversation with former President Mahama, I was surrounded by soldiers who were strangling me. Anyone in my shoes would have said worse things,” he explained.
He said the video was deliberately leaked to disgrace and to also cover up the impasse between Kwame A Plus and the two Deputy Chiefs of Staff, Francis Asenso-Boakye and Samuel Abu Jinapor.
“The NPP deliberately leaked the video to taunt the NDC and cover up the corruption allegations leveled against some appointees at the Presidency by A Plus. That video is useless and anyone who has it should throw it away,” he stressed.

we are taking it serious no gun was pointed at you everybody know who you are. you paddle falsehood about people to get what you want. you were on your kneel begging madam Busia to talk to president Nana Addo to pardon you. after you have been set free you are now telling Ghanaian the your begging was fake. whom are you deceiving? President is old enough to be your father so if you insult him you have insulted your father. I don't know whether your father is alive, if he is alive, he is seeing the type of training he gave you. you have reduced your life span on this earth.
such a big ***barred word***
Let me ask those media houses who have \nothing doing but bring such stories! Is this worth hearing than the Presidents UN summit news where he was offered free of charge 6ooo mobile phones,? Oh Ghana!
***barred word***
Only in Ghana that people like Appiah Stadium spew tra$h and becomes media heroes.
The Akan-speaking media houses have contributed immensely to the creation of this 1diot called stadium. They always call him only to spew shi*t on air. You never hear of any DECENT radio host calling this character. For those who are like him, let them continue calling him. And did I hear he is the close pal of John Mahama? No wander....."birds of a feather......"
This Appiah Stadium guy is just trying to attract public attention. He does not matter in the scheme of things he is just doing what earns him his living.
Appiah Stadium should learn to keep quiet. It will do him much good.
WHEN APPIAH STADIUM INSULTED EX-PREZ KUFFUOR AND ATTA MILLS IN TIME PAST THEY WERE BOTH NOT INTERESTED IN PURSUING THE CASES. HOWEVER WHEN ONE FAUDE INSULTED FORMER PREZ JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA; HE WAS INTERESTED AND PURSUED THE CASE TO THE LATTER. CAGING HIM BNI CUSTODY FOR MORE THAN 72 HOURS (3 DAYS). FAST FORWARD 2017 PREZ AKUFFO ADDO WAS OUT OF THE COUNTRY FOR UN MEETING WHEN SAME APPIAH STADIUM INSULTED HIS PERSON. HE IMMEDIATELY ASKED FOR HIS RELEASE BECAUSE HE IS NOT INTERESTED, REAL LEADERSHIP AT PLAY.
