The Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku, has pleaded with party faithfuls to continue their unflinching support to sustain the determination, the zeal and enthusiasm that brought the party to power.
The youth icon was speaking at a well-attended New Year's soiree held on Friday, January 5 2018, at the Tesano Royal Gardens in Accra by Mr. Freddie Blay.
Addressing the party faithfuls, Mr. Awuku urged the youth to continue winning souls for the party as the next elections (2020) gradually draw near and warned the youth against complacency and arrogance.
“We won 2016 because the Ghanaian youth were determined to change the government. It does not mean 2020 will be easy. Our actions and our words will determine whether we want to win hands down in 2020,” he said.
The event was graced by the leading members of the party, such as Acting General Chairman of the party, Mr. Fraddie Blay, Acting General Secretary of NPP, John Boadu, the NASARA Coordinator, Kamaldeen Abdulai, Deputy Youth organizer Dominic Eduah, groups such as NPP Loyal Ladies and Professional for Change.

Is Npp worth dying for? People have struggled length and breadth of this country to bring this party to power just for them to be ignored. Not that they are not qualified, they are highly educated too. Just fixing them in an institutions to be working as staffs, that one too has become a thorn in the flesh of the party leaders. You call some MP's and some heads of government institutions and they turn to block your line. What a party. I have been a member of Npp since 1996 and what have gain as a faithful hardworking member.
Exactly the sentiments being expressed. You are voted into power and suddenly the appointees forget party members and remember only family and friends. NPP members are being marginalized in favor of rich NDC folks. Some were victmised when NPP lost power in 2008 and the party is back in power and has conveniently forgotten about those people. Wake up from your slumber and help party people. Don’t leave some of decisions in the hands of some arrogant ministers who know next to nothing about the ministries they in charge of.
It is son annoying when you listen to people like Sammi Awuku. We should sustain the zeal so that you and your cohorts will keep enjoying while we suffer without jobs. We are tired of these empty promises. We the youth want jobs to do. We are not just interested in winning souls for NPP. We need employment. I will rather win souls for Christ instead of you criminal and greedy politicians
