A Member of the Communication Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Nashiru Mohammed has said the opposition NDC can win power from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), and retain it for a long time if the party adheres to its core values of probity, accountability and social justice.
Speaking on Kasapa FM, Alhaji Nashiru said that the hailing of the appointment of Martin Amidu as the special prosecutor testified that Ghanaians believe in the core principles of the NDC, which Mr. Amidu has been practicing all his life.
He indicated that this should teach leadership and members of the NDC that if the party embraces its core values of probity, accountability and social justice, the party will be more attractive to Ghanaians.
“The clear message I got from the euphoria that greeted Martin Amidu’s appointment should send signal to members and leadership of the party that if we adhere to the core values of probity, accountability and social justice of our party, which distinguish the NDC from other political parties, we can regain power from the NPP, and retain it for a long time”, Alhaji Nashiru observed.
