The NDC opposition to a government plan to hire 100,000 unemployed graduates has been criticized as a "partisan play around people's real problem".
The NDC has said the government program 'Nation Builders Corps' (NABco) offers no new plan to create jobs but a duplication of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).
It has also said the GHS700 salary for the employees ridicules the value of a tertiary level certificate.
But the NYA in a statement remarked that "Ghanaians must be worried that those who did little to help unemployed youths are doing more to belittle those who are actually helping".
The NYA says NABco would help unemployed graduates in areas like education, health and agriculture gather working experience private employers demand before hiring.
"This is why it cannot be permanent. Government is solving the problem of work experience so graduates can improve their chances of getting improved offers from the private sector", the statement said.
The NYA said unemployment ridicules a graduate's certificate, not 700 Ghana cedis.
The statement signed by its CEO, Emmanuel Asigri, said comments by opposition MPs and former government appointees must be measured and sensitive because unemployment is not "a political jabbing opportunity by a real problem facing Ghana's youth".
The NYA said the job provision and creation record of the former government should impress on its appointees and MPs "to be very measured in its comments if it finds patriotic bi-partisan support a hard thing to do".
"It is no longer a partisan talking point to say some governments are good at destroying what other governments are good at creating. This is now a pattern of Ghana's politics."
The NDC which was in government between 2009 and 2016 was criticised for bankrupting the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) created under the John Kufuor regime to provide Ghana's first ever government health insurance for citizens.
The National Youth Employment Program, an attempt to reduce unemployment which was considered a national security threat, was plunged into scandals after the NDC government took over.
The Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) was also ridiculed by the NDC while in opposition although in government, it was a popular example of efforts to improve lives of the vulnerable.
Emmanuel Asigri explained that if the government has found it prudent to roll out the Nation Builders Corp it is because over the last nine years, the country appeared to be run by a "Nation Destroyers Corp".
"The best achievement under the previous government was the creation of an online job search engine just like jobberman or jobsinghana".
In November 2016, Labour Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, unveiled an online job portal called Ghana Labour Market Information Systems (GLMIS).
It was launched a month to the general elections in December.

Ndc is a devil's party, the devil is a card bearing member of the ndc and the devil hates everything good. If ndc could give these unemployed youth even ghc300.00 during their era they wouldn't form that association . They should advise their TEIN members to opt out if they join may God Punish them severely, if any ndc member who believes this policy is not good and turns round to register to be included may God the Almighty ADONAI punish such people ! This policy is not for the ndc but Ghanaians and nobody is forcing them to join, they can opt out like those private nurses whose institutions have no hospitals but are bluffing, even America the most powerful and successful the government doesn't employ you have to apply to agencies to employ you, so if these private nurses think they are doing the government they should wait for the ndc to come in 40 years time to build private hospitals to employ them, if ndc had something good they would have done that for you in the 8 years they were in power. Let those ndc guys who are leading you deceive you and you will eat stones and grass and who cares? Ndc is evil and will die in evil. Ghana will move on and thank God the unemployed graduates association created during ndc era are thankful at long last there is a relief, sensible guys, very smart decision, Keep it up and let the ***barred word*** go hungry and wait for the ndc. Those applying for this programme are many than those who are opting and going on ***barred word*** demonstration, if demonstration will give them jobs so be it. Nana don't kowtow to ***barred word*** and lazy ***barred word***, you trying to help them and they are proving they don't need it ,leave them alone and move on with serious people. Ghana is in a hurry to catch up with Rwanda and no time to waste on evil doers ndc party. They want everyone to be like them, they want everyone to be in their unenlightened world where they see good and beautiful things as evil and their stone age world as the best," No Way " Ghana has grown past that 100 years ago and we are moving forward no turning back. Ndc is not good for Ghana, very primitive, unenlightened evil people. PPP will be a better alternative to the NPP, Papa Kwesi Nduom and his boys are enlightened and can take our country to a better place, ndc Apuuuuu!
I challenged NDC executives, MPs and the big mouths to wage a crusade all over the country to advise their youth and graduate un-employs not to apply to the Nabco because the wage is a paltry 700 cedis. How many of their own were they able to employed in their time. They are just scared and have started thinking about elections that Should 100,000 young voters get job created by the government they will naturally vote foe the NPP and should that happen, they are already vanquished before entering polls. I dare them to go round and carry out such a crusade and see whether they will not be chased with machetes by their own people.
NDC, ARE YOU SAYING 700 ghana cedis is small for graduates who are still learners? What sort of people are you? How much is an experienced Government Worker earning in Ghana? If a graduate is picked to work in the District of his or her choice, is the 700 ghana CEDIS not NOW adequate for these beginners? I BECOME NAUSEATED WHEN I HEAR SUCH SELFISH-UU NDC OPEN THEIR MOUTHS ON SUCH ISSUES. BY THE WAY, THERE HAS BEEN MASSIVE RESPONSE BY THESE GRADUATES BARELY 24 HOURS AFTER THE LAUNCH.
