Chief Operating Officer of Dalex Finance, Joe Jackson has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to sack those who caused him embarrassment in the renegotiated Ameri deal.
A correspondence from the presidency to the Energy Ministry stated that President Akufo-Addo gave approval to the renegotiated agreement which allows Mytilineos to take over the management of power plants from Ameri Energy.
The new deal was sent to parliament for approval but it was withdrawn after it emerged that the president was misled to give executive approval to it.
Meanwhile, management of Ameri Energy also issued a statement stating that they did not engage government contrary to claims by the Energy Ministry.
It is on the back of these developments that Joe Jackson, speaking on TV3 New Day on Saturday, August 4, called on the President to fire persons who misled him.
“I beg you, you have been embarrassed, sack somebody, you are our president, you have been embarrassed, sack somebody, and let somebody be held responsible for misleading you.”
According to Mr. Jackson, the original Ameri deal which was signed as far back as 2015 is a bad agreement in itself; hence, there is the need to ensure that things are not complicated further.
He urged President Akufo-Addo to ensure that due diligence is done to save the tax payers money.
“The president promised us that he will protect the purse, in this case, we expected him to go back and fix it,” Joe Jackson noted

its been only two years and every day scandal. maybe ghanaians are fuuls to vote for such party. or there is an ongoing competion in corruption index between ndc and npp. communication deal, cash for seat, mixed fuel deal, pay before you see the president, despite the hardship in ghana. the question is are we growing wiser or we are growing taller. every influencial person in the party wants to buy property outside the country. let ghanaians be reminded of former heads of state who diveted monies to offshore banks and when they die the monies remain in that country. so we are not learning any sense
the president cannot do shiiit because from anas # 12 he needs money back. so which administration is more corrupt. ghanaians should look for a third, reliable and honest administration. both npp and ndc are the same. no difference when it comes to corruption. akuffo addo's administration has scored more negatiives than positives.
WHY DOES HE GET PROTECTED WHENEVER HE'S EXPOSED. IT'S ALL THE DOING OF THE PRESIDENT AND NOT HIS APPOINTEES... HE KNOWS ALL WHAT IS GOING ON AND TRY TO HIDE SOON AS HE'S BEEN FIGURED OUT....... HE WILL BE CAUGHT RED HANDED AND WE WILL SEE HOW HE BLAMES APPOINTEES FOR THAT...
yes they must be sacked if thy truly deceived him. Nana u have to be in charge. u need to put ur foot down. i know many of these appointed were financiers in ur bid to become president but u have to watch them carefully be4 they destroy this country.
