Mr Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh, the out-going Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister has received higher marks for his contribution towards the prevention of illegal chainsaw operation in the region.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in his maiden Ministerial reshuffle last week appointed Mr Asomah-Cheremeh as the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources.
At a send-off party organised in honour of the out-going Regional Minister in Sunyani, speakers took turns to shower praises on Mr Asomah-Cheremeh for his contributions towards the socio-economic development of region.
Most of them acknowledged, recognised, and appreciated the passion the out-going Regional Minister demonstrated in the fight against illegal logging, which had achieved positive results.
Nana Bofo Bene IV, the Vice President of the Brong-Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs said the Minister would be remembered for making illegal logging unattractive.
The out-going Regional Minister received several citations from individuals, New Patriotic Party Council of elders and Associations at the party organised by the Regional Coordinating Council.
Mr Evans Opoku-Bobie, the Deputy Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister who has been elevated as the substantive Regional Minister said he was confident that Mr Asomah-Cheremeh would work hard to help control the issues of illegal mining and logging in the country.
