The General Secretary of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has told the New Patriotic to prepare to lose the Brong Ahafo Region and the 2020 general elections as the caliber of executives elected would not rest until victory is won.
The NDC, across the country, went into a conference to elect officers to manage the affairs of the party for the next four years.
In the Brong Ahafo Region; the party chose a former ambassador to Egypt, Hon. Kwadwo Nyamekye Marfo, Dennis Yeboah Twumasi, and Alhaji Baba Awudu Gausu as Chairman, Secretary, and Zongo Caucus Coordinator respectively.
“With the caliber of executives chosen today, I am serving notice to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to prepare, and we will also prepare for 2020. We will recapture the Brong Ahafo and win the general elections as well in 2020”, he opined.
He called for unity and collaboration in the party saying there were no winners and losers in the elections and tasked the new elected not to be complacent in the discharge of their duties.
“Everyone has a role to play in the building of a formidable front in the party for our quest for victory in 2020. As winners in this election, it’s not an honor for you but a call for sacrifice and dedication to duty to win more votes for the party. In four years we will be meeting here again, and your headwork will determine your fate”, he cautioned.
General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia disclosed these in an address to hundreds of party supporters and sympathizers at the Jubilee Park where he inaugurated and swore in newly elected regional executives of the party in Sunyani.
He appealed to the losing candidates and the rank and filed the party to bring their expertise to bear to help the elected executives to work effectively.
In his victory speech, Chairman-elect and former Ghana’s ambassador to Egypt, Kwadwo Nyamekye Marfo on behalf of his team commended the delegates for the confidence reposed to them and promised not to disappoint them.
“We will work hard to recapture the region and power in the 2020”, he declared.
The conference witnessed the election of Alhaji Ibrahim Gariba and Kwadwo Takyi-Arhin as the First and second Vice-Chairpersons.
Mr. Mohammed Seidu won as the Regional Organizer while Charles Aseidu was elected as the Deputy Regional Organizer. Mohammed Shamsudeen won the Deputy Secretary position, while Agnes Kusi won the Women’s Organizers position.
The rest are Fati Abubakar, Deputy Women’s Organizer, Thomas Warlanyo Tsekpo, Youth Organizer, Owusu Ababio Nkrumah, Deputy Youth Organizer, Charles Akowuah Tuffour, Communication Officer and Eric Adjei, Deputy Communication Officer respectively.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia, are you not aware that you are a 'Spent Force' in Ghana politics now. Kindly bow out now to receive the loud clap else you are going to get the hoot.
ASIEDU NKATEA, POLITICAL COMEDIAN.
THE NDC HAS NOTHING TO OFFER GHANAIANS. I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THEM EVER SINCE THEY LOST THE 2016 ELECTIONS ALL THEY TALK ABOUT IS 2020 ELECTIONS NOTHING CONCRITE IN THEIR BLOCKHEADS TO OFFER US.IF GHANAIANS MAKE THE MISTAKE TO VOTE FOR THIS GOOD BUT NOTHING PARTY IN 2020 THEN WE MUST BE PREPAIRED THEY WILL SELL ALL OF US TO THE KINGDOM OF DUBAI AS SLAVES.I TELL ME I DIDN'T WARN YOU.
You see, Nana is a first class politician who has clearly defined his policy and thoughtfully coined a powerful slogan, 'Ghana beyond Aid' to embody and reflect his vision. Which seems to be appealing to most of the World powerful leaders and finding a positive response. I was emotionally touched when I heard OYE, Nana's favorite song being played for him, to welcome him to China. A friendly gesture, indeed. I am not saying this to scare away NDC from the 2020 elections, but to contest the caliber of Nana and his NPP to date, you really have to tighten your belt in terms of policy message and political expediency. Propaganda, populism and lose polemics can never be a match for Nana, the President, and his NPP. And I strongly warn NDC to discard playing the tribal card of bigotry. That would clearly be counterproductive and NDC would suffer bitterly for it. For, the Ghanaians have grown out of the status quo-politics of deceit, boys with sharp teeth mantra and repetitions of lies for ostensible truth. And I bet, 20% execution of NPP promises and manifesto would put her out of reach for NDC in terms of its multiple effects, competence, credibility and fulfilling the aspirations of many Ghanaians. The dynamics of World Politics today, put good Leadership in African Politics at advantage to boost and own wise investments in Africa. So far I see some hope in Goosie Tanoh for the NDC at least to bring NDC, to break away from Legon campus type of politics. Goosie seems determined to start from grassroots work, to transform NDC into real, practical, policy and issue-based politics relevant to solving the economic and social problems facing Ghana and Africa to date.
Asiedu Nketia has reached the end of his carrier. He will be booted out in this election and that Ghanaians listen to these mentally retarded junkies who call themselves politicians. Asiedu Nketia should prepare for his fate after their election. The Bui Dam case will surface.
Be careful you are NOT booted out as NDC general secretary!
