President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has condemned the murder of Tiger Eye PI’s undercover journalist and investigator, Ahmed Hussein-Suale on Wednesday, 16 January 2019.
“I’ve learnt with sadness of the killing of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, an associate of investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas. I condemn the act unreservedly, and extent my condolence to his family,” he said in a post on Instagram.
Ahmed Hussein-Suale was shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck late Wednesday night at Madina in Accra while driving home by unidentified men riding motorbike.
A section of Ghanaians on social media have called on the police to invite Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, for questioning in connection with the killing.
But, the controversial lawmaker as denied any complicity in the murder of Ahmed Hussein-Suale - claiming, “That boy is not relevant in my life. Why would I go and do some stupid thing like that?”
However President Nana Addo has tasked the police to bring the offenders to book for a crime he described as “heinous”.
“I expect the police to bring to book, as soon as possible, the perpetrators of this heinous crime. Once again, my heartfelt condolence," he noted.
Family Threatens To React
Relatives of assassinated undercover journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale, are demanding justice for their fallen kinsman.
A cousin of the deceased, Abdul Jalil Yakubu says the family is giving the state authorities a week’s ultimatum to produce some credible progress made in the investigation or they will be forced to react.
“What we need is justice but when the justice fails we will react . . . we are fearless, we are Dagombas and we are warriors . . . so we need justice,” he said.

Never take the radar off Anas in hunting for the culprit!
THE PRESIDENT SHOULD RATHER BE SAD KILLING JB DANQUAH. NO MATTER HOW YOU PRETEND THE JUDGEMENT DAY WILL COME.
Nana addo's government is a serious disappointment. One would have thought that as a lawyer, his regime will prevents break down of law and order. Considering the rate at which people are being killed under his regime, there is something fundamentally wrong with him. I advise her returns that horn back to owusu bempah, it may probably be the cause of nana addo woes. It one too many.
The Police CID did not invite Ken to question his about the death of Ahmed Hussein-Suale by to protect him. Mr president act and stop all these rhetoric we are tired of the insecurity in the country since you took over power
Nana, we know you went to school in England and can speak and write good English but honestly we need more than this. Please create strong institutions. Our institutions don't work in Ghana. Like Obama said Africa needs strong institutions. . Give the IGP security of tenure. Let his appointment be like that of the Supreme court justices so he can be independent and strong. It is unthinkable that after all these months that the office of the special prosecutor is still not set up? Seriously? These things are more important than creating new regions! NDC is going to elect John Mahama and its going to the recycling of old ideas. Please sit up Nana, you are our only hope.
Very soon the NDC would hold a press conference trying hard to accuse Nana Akufo-Addo as the killer of the young man. Just read what @Ama is saying. That is the beginning. The NPP will also issue a counter statement. Then everything goes haywire and the killers are forgotten and go scot-free. The best bet to escape punishment in this country is to politicise the issue, the banter will start, NPP/NDC, without end and you save your skin. Period.
Akyem-Mafia dey fear Asin Bull-dog. kw3kw3 obaaa w)
You expect the police to bring the perpetrators to book. What has happened to nyantakyi's case? What has happened to jb danquahs case. Talk talk talk talk, no action.
He is only proactive in sending condolences. His guilty conscience always kills him. For all you know he is behind this dastardly act in connection with ken agyepong.
