President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has condemned the murder of Tiger Eye PI’s undercover journalist and investigator, Ahmed Hussein-Suale on Wednesday, 16 January 2019.
“I’ve learnt with sadness of the killing of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, an associate of investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas. I condemn the act unreservedly, and extent my condolence to his family,” he said in a post on Instagram.
Ahmed Hussein-Suale was shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck late Wednesday night at Madina in Accra while driving home by unidentified men riding motorbike.
A section of Ghanaians on social media have called on the police to invite Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, for questioning in connection with the killing.
But, the controversial lawmaker as denied any complicity in the murder of Ahmed Hussein-Suale - claiming, “That boy is not relevant in my life. Why would I go and do some stupid thing like that?”
However President Nana Addo has tasked the police to bring the offenders to book for a crime he described as “heinous”.
“I expect the police to bring to book, as soon as possible, the perpetrators of this heinous crime. Once again, my heartfelt condolence," he noted.
Family Threatens To React
Relatives of assassinated undercover journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale, are demanding justice for their fallen kinsman.
A cousin of the deceased, Abdul Jalil Yakubu says the family is giving the state authorities a week’s ultimatum to produce some credible progress made in the investigation or they will be forced to react.
“What we need is justice but when the justice fails we will react . . . we are fearless, we are Dagombas and we are warriors . . . so we need justice,” he said.

God spesks in still small voice. When nana addo said all die be die, God was indirectly showing us what we might end up getting in case we voted for him. God also used Kofi Koomsom to warned us about the consequences of electing such a dangerous man to lead us. Whatever God was telling us then is exactly what we are witnessing. Even before he became president two of his own party members were gruesomely murdered. One was acid bathed and the other was stabbed. Not forgetting how he hounding Afoko, Kwabena and Crabbe out of their legitimate elected positions. The man is seriously dangerous. Do you remember his current CID boss once saying, A Plus should tone down because if he didn't, his clamor would make nana addo's government look bad? Can you imagine this! A CID boss making such a despicable statement, how can anyone trust her to do a good job. Do you remember the scam arrest of kwesi nyantakyi! Several months after the so called arrest of nyantakyi, he is neither before court nor even seeing the police. He is walking free for so called using the president name for personal gains. Has anyone thought about how the president keeps, exonerating his ministers who had been alleged to be correct? How can a president who is a lawyer keep preempting result of investigations, saying investigations would not end anywhere, thus emboldening his appointees and those like minded to flout the laws of the land with impunity because they know the president will shield them. No wonder Martin Amidu has not killed even a fly since taken office a year ago. Investigation into the murder of this journalist may not end anywhere considering the posture of the CID boss and our president. JB Danquah has been murdered three years ago, up till now the case is still not decided because the attorney general is playing around with it. God save Ghana.
what abt the GPHA director that was also murdered? In this country it looks like some ple are more Ghanaian than others.
All die be die is now happy and should as usual clear all alleged NPP Murderers
very good question. is it because this guy is affiliated to anas? i think anas and kweku baako has something against this president.
Is that the Ghana I know? Are we now supposed to live in fear under NPP?
What about the woman killed at Tema?
Eiiiiii, what is actually Happening in Ghana is very serious, Serial killings of innocents?? Is Ghana actually a save land to visit and stay? Many are questioning the security System in Ghana. These Serial killings is frightening and scaring holyday makers to visit and stay in Ghana. Ghana is not save!!
After reading all ur comments, I realise most of u have weak n constipated minds. In Africa u can't be walking around anywhere late n expect the president to protect ur life. Guys wake up. These patrol teams have been buying indomine for their girlfriends instead of them patrolling to protect life n property, n u expect thd busy president to carry a cane around?. Masa sleep early n avoid troubles
This is what we are good at. Extending condolences after the tragedy has taken place while this issue could have been averted if His Excellency had precautionary steps in calling his fellow party man to order. Now that he's gone... His Excellency is here condemning the barbaric act of the assailants. Indeed it's barbaric but He could have averted this situation if He had called Ken Agyapong to order.... I'm deeply saddened by the way our so-called leaders react to delicate issues of this nature.
