Justice Adjakuma, the young man who lost his eyes during a 'Let my Vote Count' demonstration in September 2015 died yesterdayday 12th May, 2019 at a hospital at Malam in Accra.
Some members of the 'Let My Vote Count Alliance' clashed with the police during the demonstration exercise to demand new voters’ register in the run-up to the 2016 general election. The Police in their bid to restore peace and order released rubber bullets, tear gas and water cannons on the protesters who were demanding the compilation of a new voters’ register before the general elections.
Several people sustained injuries, including Justice Adjakuma, who lost one eye.
Minister for Communication at the time, Omane Boamah accused the young man of applying tomato puree on the eye to court public sympathy. An unfortunate comment that was rehashed by several NDC communicators on various media platforms.
The then presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, hailed the young man describing him as a true patriot. He expressed his deepest sympathies to Justice Adzakumah and his family, who, he said, had sacrificed so much for the common cause of Ghana.

Painful as it was, we take consolation in the fact that our brother served well his generation and his name will be remembered as a gallant Soldier who fought well for the consolidation of our electoral process and our Democracy
Rest well my Brother

This is a very big lesson for us all. There is a need to fight for your nation and this is not the best way. Remember we are not in the revolution era, where guns and other ammunitions flyer over. Learn to apply conscience in everything you are doing. We're the architect of our own life. Remember to live God than living for Belly-full leaders. May you be forgiven for your acts and accepted by our Lord Jesus Christ.
@yao,uhuru,adjakuma you guys never cease to amaze the world. Have you ever heard of the organ called "BRAIN"? find yours, and use it to the benefits of yourself, family, Ghana and the world as a whole.... because common sense can be found in there,,. looks like yours have been replaced with a watch battery
Now that he is dead, the money that could have used to save his life will be donated for his funeral and burial for political advantage. When he was alive that they should have flown him to USA or UK for medical treatment, no one did so. George Andah had a minor accident, he was flown in helicopter to 37, and later flown outside Ghana for medical attention. Here is someone who lost an eye fighting for NPP, he is dead because he was neglected. If we say NANA ADDO IS A WICKED MAN, people don't understand.
Do you think nana addo would have sat down for him to die if he was called by an akan name. Nobody cared for him as long as he was an Ewe. May his soul rest in peace. It's worthless demonstrating to bring nana addo to power. All he does is sleep and wake up to watch spurs matches.
YOU CALL HIM YOUR BROTHER? WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU VISITED HIM? WHAT ASSISTANCE DID YOU GIVE HIM AFTER WINNING THE ELECTIONS? YOU JUST USED HIM TO ACHIEVED YOUR AIM. I BELIEVE YOU HAVE ALSO BEEN GIVEN ONE OF THE JUICY POSITIONS AS A COMPENSATION FOR YOUR " FIGHT " FOR FREEDOM. GOD IS WATCHING ALL OF US INCLUDING YOU THE PRETENDERS. I WONDER IF SOME OF YOU GUYS HAVE HEARTS SITTING IN YOUR CHEST AND EVEN IF YOU HAVE CONSCIENCES.
Even Jesus Christ died, Even though He rose after three days. this means, no one can overcome death when it is time to die. However, i will be glad to know what killed our brother. If the death was avoidable, then we all condemn the NPP and 'Let my vote count' leaderships for not offering care and love when it needed most. But if it happened as a natural death, then, who are we to prevent it. Bro. Rest in perfect peace.
Such a ***barred word*** death!! If it’s related to his injuries GOD will lash him mercilessly on judgement day. You demonstrate against a rregister which was not changed! Your candidates comes to power on that register and watches you to DIE!! How ***barred word*** can you be?
