General Secretary of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has alleged that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo deliberately appointed some members of the fairer sex to positions of higher authority in his administration just to sully the image of women.
According to him, the president purposely appointed Tiwaa Addo Danquah to head the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of Ghana Police Service and Mrs. Jean Mensa as the chairperson for Electoral Commission (EC), to portray the false impression of a government that is gender-sensitive, eventhough he (the president) considered them to be "blockheads".
Commenting on the arrest of the party's National Chairman Ofosu Ampofo and President Nana Addo’s recent submission on women empowerment at a Conference in Canada, in an interview on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, the NDC Chief Scribe accused President Akufo-Addo of really not having the interest of Ghanaian women at heart regarding such appointments.
“I believe that President Akufo-Addo himself does not have the interest of Ghanaian women at heart because in the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks; which is why the President said Ghanaian women are not pushing and knocking hard enough. He cunningly portrays himself as someone who has the best interest of women. Have you seen how he embarrassed himself in Canada? Because what he said about Ghanaian women is exactly his thoughts,” he asserted.
General Mosquito, as he is affectionately called in political circles, maintained that President Akufo-Addo “deliberately selects some women who are block-headed and hand over positions to them and when they fail, he turns around to say on international platforms that Ghanaian women lack drive and dynamism”.
To him, it will be best if all gender-based groups in the country rise up against the President for appointing such mediocre women to key positions of trust.
“...it is time for the gender groups to rise up against the President....they should make Ghanaians believe that when women are appointed, they can do the work better than men and that the person who is appointing women should know that there are better women in the country than those block-headed women he is deliberately appointing....
“deep within President Akufo-Addo, he does not believe in Ghanaian women as he has been portrayed. He only chooses women who are block-headed so that we can have bad examples of women who have failed in their positions, so that Ghanaians will get upset and he will then say that he would have appointed more women but they are not performing,” he added.

So Charlotte Osei was an intelligent woman right?. Keep on disgracing and fuuuulling yourself You're just putting enmity between your party and floating voters
I am asking that, where are the NDC women who were insulting Nana Addo who was just encouraging women in Ghana to play their best part to occupy positions where they can involve in policymaking. What are you the NDC women talking about this man's insults to these great ladies in our time, Ladies that has worked very hard to occupy such a position? Ghanaian women where are you? women and gender advocators where are you? show you dynamism ooooo toun Go the streets throughout Ghana and demonstrate against these so call the politicians who are just fighting for their stomach.
I am sure if Asiedu Nketia had 2 of such educated ladies occupying high position from his hometown, they would have been carried shoulder high it time they visited the town. Thank J.J Rawlings for bringing you from your B/A border town village and have become a politician in the city......you are a disgrace to your wife, children, extended family and your region since whatever comes out of your foul mouth is shiiiiit. You are to old to be doing that and expect you to rather be a role model for the younger guys in politics.
Now we know those politicians who hate women (NDC) Men group, Youth and women groups
Asiedu for how long will you continue to misbehave you are too old for these kind of stuff.Grow up my UNCLE.The insults will not win you the next election. With this insult strategy it won't work for any political party AGAIN.CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE MY UNCLE.
Asiedu Nketia is the most ***barred word*** politician in the history of Ghanaian politics. For me, he lacks weofully the ability to argue cohesively and logically. Let alone, to have the integrity and credibility to speak to issues factually, dispassionately and convincingly. Mind you, he is no mean the Chairman of the NDC and therefore has responsible leadrship-role. But he lacks the leadership-skill as a tool to work with. One thing is very clear that Mrs. Jean Mensa is doing fantatic and terrific job as EC-Boss. I would wholeheartedly encourage her to be standfest in discharging her mandate as the EC-Chairperson. NDC should continue living in a ***barred word***'s paradise. Clearly,Ghanaians are fully aware who is doing the right thing and telling the truth.
Now that women have been insulted by this 1diot general secretary, let the ***barred word*** called Hannah and the husband beater called Oye organize their press conferences and defend "Ghanaian" women as they did recently.
TIWAA IS MORE INTELLIGENT AND SPEAKS VERY LOGICALLY ON THAN ASIEDU NKETIA. THE MATCH OF ASIDEU NKETIA'S LOGIC CAN ONLY BE FOUND UNDER THE ATLANTIC OCEAN.
Age is just a number indeed, how could an elderly like this talk anyhow?
i never heard of Asiedu Nketsiah's wife occupying any better position. Did he also marry a blockheaded wife?
