Deputy Minister for Works and Housing and Member of Parliament for Subin Constituency, Eugene Boakye Antwi has said that government has spent over 800 million Ghana Cedis to settle debts accrued by the erstwhile Mahama administration.
According to him, there are still debts unsettled by other ministries and all these debts make Ghanaians feel government is not doing anything.
Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he explained that the amount of money government is paying interms of settling debts could have been used for other developmental projects.
The NPP government is committed to providing Ghanaians with whatever they promised in their manifesto.
"Nana Addo will not disappoint Ghanaians just that we will have to settle debts that was accrued by the other government so that those affected can have money to execute other projects that will improve the lives of Ghanaians," he said.

Some people like Deputy Minister for Works and Housing and Member of Parliament, EB Antwi who can talk of everything, it is their wives control them in their houses ooooo. even their own children never get access to them for anything they need ooooooo. Anytime their wives give them some stress then they would quickly come out just to release some stresses and be talking big big. . . . . . .
Ghana is on the crossroad ampaa. So this Ghc 800M is it upto to $300m dollars, hummmm, soooooooo
We are tired of this ***barred word*** talk all the time...is NDC still in power??? things really hard these days fix it
These Npp guys are either fuulls or ediots. So expected Ghanaians to vote for you to come and sit down doing nothing? What you guys have forgotten is that the NDC took over from the npp and vice versa. So to argue that npp is paying NDC's debt make you a big ediot. Government is continuum. You cannot separate your era from that of the NDC. Even monkeys don't do that.
So how much do you think NDC will spend in settling the current debt on our shoulders. We are not foooooooooooooooools. NPP in two year has borrowed more than NDC in eight years. Are you guys normal. What annoys me most is, they are now thinking of going for century loan. May the fire of God consume all of you. Evilllll men leading Ghana
