I am flabbergasted with the kind of defence submitted by the so called Honourable Member of Parliament. In the first place, you have alluded ton the point that NPP in your constituency should be admonished by NPP Headquarters. As an Hon. MP, couldn't you have petitioned NPP National Office to bring the party in the constituency to order instead of making such xenophobic statement. An Honourable MP indeed. You are nothing but shameful tribalist. Shame unto you.
We should be very careful in Ghana when appointing people to occupy positions in the country especially who sit on the cabinet to make or initiate decisions for the country.I want some of the so called journalist to interview Hon. Collins Dauda and ask him which tribe does he belong to in the northern region. I can confidently tell you he is a Burkinabe brought here with his elder sister. His father came to this country as a tenant farmer when Collins Dauda was less than one year old. His brother Naaba and some siblings were born in the country. Somebody should ask me where is Naaba who butchered NPP supporters, he is now residing in Burkina Faso their original country.People who owe two allegiances are always not truthful and sometimes reckless in their submissions. After all if something happens they have a second save haven. Look at the likes of Kofi Adams,(Togolesle),Fiifi Kwetey(Togolese)Anita De-Souza( Togolese),Prof. Kofi Awornoor(Togolese),Asiedu Nkestia(Links in Cote Divoire)Joseph Yamin etc. When something terrible happens in the country they will be welcome with open arms. The statement from this man should be condemned by the NDC and disassociate the party from his comments. In 1992 a suit was filed against him at a court challenging him his eligibility to stand as MP but the boycott of the 1992 parliamentary election paved thr way for him to be in parliament.
My question to this xenophobic MP is; 1. where do you reside in Ghana? 2. How many non-northers voted for you? Do you or your kids get beaten or maltreated in anyway in the area where you live? Do the "hatred" you talk about affects or deprive you or your kids of any benefit as a Ghanaian?. Papa, stop this ***barred word***. We call northerners "Mpepefo" in the akan areas and the southerner is called "Kabonga/Kabonbie" in the north. Stop this ***barred word***. Rwandan started like this.
