@@elton, Bawumia is the deputy of Akufo, they share the achievements and failures of government squarely. If Bawumia doesn't have any significant role or in the government, then he has no business being there at the tax payers expense. Moreover, he's notably the head of the economy, the highest decision making authority with regards to the economy. It's however the economy that we've experienced the worst downturn in under his watch. It's agreed however that he's not the president unlike Mahama who was and hence could not excersised overall authority in every aspect of governance. But it is also true that if he couldn't influence the economy positively, and mismanaged it to this extent, then he has been a total waste and hence not to be allowed to close power. I don't believe any rational person will think of Mahama as the ideal candidate, but comparably, he's far better than Bawumia. They have both been corrupt, where has got got his campaign money from? Corruption under this government is unprecedented and unpredictable, they are all to the discredit of Bawumia as the vice president. Digitisation is bound to happen in this dispensation and cannot be the brainchild of Bawumia, especially, we have not seen any single Digitisation innovation from Bawumia himself. I don't think any rational person will think that Mahama is the ideal person either, but he will be better than Bawumia. It's up to the NPP to present a more credible competitor.
Elton, are you comparing Bawumia to Mahama as a vice president? If not, you are palpably wrong. Mahama as a Vice president has a record of dodgy and dubious deals such as Airbus scandal. Whereas Bawumia is credited with digitisation with significant impact on reducing corruption. Compare Mahama as a President to Nana Addo and see which of them has impacted on every home. Look at FREE SHS and its impact. Although, I am not saying that Nana Addo has achieved all his goals but has done well compared to Mahama. Tell me a single policy of Mahama.
@ Sena Ahiabu, whatever loss it is, does it have an implication on our economy? Is it a desirable loss? Would we proudly orchestrate that kind of loss in the future? If it is insignificant, why are they trying to assign reasons for the loss? Was it as a result of a breach of our country's financial laws or not? Why do we have laws to regulate the BoG so that they don't over finance government by printing uselessly high amount of hard currency to avoid such situations. Would Bawumia not have swiftly crafted 170 questions to the vice president who supervised that level of incompetence? Pls let's be real to ourselves and and avoid partisan politics that is killing us as a people
@Elton, please let somebody who has a finance knowledge to educate you on banking loss. The BoG does not do commercial banking. The loss is book loss (impairment), there were no physical money which got lost.
Say it again @ Elton. I wonder mpo how people try to make bawumia appear like an angel we don't know. But am not surprised, it is the usual business of those who are doing that right now, those people who have traded their stomachs for their brains. Agenda boys and girls, corrupt to the core and rotten without any conscience. But my Ghanaian people must shine their eyes this time, at least if we don't get an ideal candidate at this elections, we can punish evil and wickedness exhibited by Akufo Addo and Bawumia's leadership
@ Obi-Ba, what is more wishful thinking than presuming Bawumia will win easily against John Mahama? For what reasons? They both failed when they got the opportunities. However, given the enormous confidence reposed in Bawumia for his so called "tremendous" economic prowess against what he has delivered, sending GH to her ever lowest, John Mahama is a far better option. Additionally, the corruption and scandals witnessed under Mahama are far less in magnitude and consequences than those witnessed under the immoral leadership of Bawumia. How could it ever be told that the BoG lost over GHS 60 B under the vice presidency of a man who was one time a deputy governor of BoG and who doubles as the chairman of the economic management team? Ghanaians, if you don't start being logical, analytical and patriotic, you will continue to glorify failures and project mediocrity at the expense of the fast downward spiral the country is witnessing.
It seems Dr. Bawumia's performance at the NPP Super Delegates Conference is surprising his detractors more and more, such that their wishful thinking is becoming their last resort beyond any rational thinking to suggest that the grassroots will vote against him. This assumption comes from those who want Mahama not to contest the presidential election against Bawumia. In that case it will be an easy win for the NPP presidential candidate, Bawumia.
they just want something to say against the man Bawumia, even the ndc one horse race, how many voted against John Mahama?
