The singer Shakira is to visit the Oxford Union to talk about her charity work in South America.
The Colombian artist is due to appear on 7 December. The singer's charity Barefoot has built schools in parts of her country hit by civil war, providing uniforms, equipment and food to 750 children.
Her record label RCA said Shakira hoped her talk in Oxford would publicise her charity as she tried to give it an international presence.
