Talented actress Gloria Osei Safo gave up her usual partying and drinking with family and friends on her birthday to celebrate with the less privileged this year.
Gloria went far away to the Eye of God Children Centre at Otoase on Nsawam Aduagyiri road in the Eastern region to celebrate her special day with needy children.
Explaining why she decided to do this noble gesture and why she even went that far, Gloria whose birthday was on April 4 told Peacefmonline.com I usually celebrate my birthday with friends have fun, eat, drink and all that but this year I decided to share with the less privileged and even that, I decided to go to a neglected place because normally people go to places in Accra and usually familiar places.
She said she was touched by the story behind the Eye of God Children Centre. According to the Efiewura actress, the center is run by Mr. Samuel Kwapong Darko, a blind man who takes care of over 300 orphans and over 50 needy elderly people so she decided to extend a helping hand to the blind man and put smiles on the faces of the less privileged people he is taking care of.
She donated several items including food stuff, toiletries, drinks, water and a cash amount of GH1000 to support upkeep of the orphans. She express her gratitude to her friends; Beverly Afaglo, Offeibia, Charles Kwame, Albert, Ramatu, Stella Atakora(Fafa of Efeiwura fame) Harriet, Hagar Kotey, Nacy, Afua of Ghanas Most Beautiful 2011 and few friend and family who came to support.
