The fight against domestic violence is still going on especially on social media and several celebrities have joined the campaign.
After Nigerian Actress Tontoh Dikeh shocked the world with her story with pictorial evidence, more and more ladies who have being suffering in silence, have been motivated to speak up.
The latest domestic violence victim who has decided to share her story is Ghanaian Actress Vicky Zugah who has admitted that her ex boyfriends used to beat her.
The mother of two in an Instagram post said she was quiet just to save her ex-boyfriends but she believes this is the time to voice out for the world to know how some ladies suffer on the hands of their partners. According to her, she is now ready to leave any guy who beats her even if they have dated for just a day or decades.
“Am done keeping quiet just to protect their egos,am ready to shout and am gonna shout so loud evryone of u wil hear about it. I’ve been to funerals of people who lost their lives cos they were scared of wat society would say if they left the abuser. I am a victim too but am proud of myself cos I didn’t care wat society, the media or even my relatives had to say,I just kept leavin. And If leaving an abusive relationship means one has been dumped or jilted then so be it. if I start a new relatnship 2day and he hits me I wil stil leave again. Wil keep leaving til I find a “real man”… #RealMenDontHitWomen #LeaveToLive #ReportTheAbuser #StopMakingExcusesForThem #TheyDontLoveYou #LoveYourSelfFirst #TGBTG #ThankGodManIsntGod”
However, Vicky was not specific as to which of her ex boyfriends laid hands on her but she is known to have dated Actor Leo Mensah, one DJ Cash and Sierra Leonean representative for Big Brother Africa – The Chase , Bolt.

@ P, l wish l can have a look at your face preaching
This is why women don't talk about domestic violence in Ghana. They stay until they are killed. Instead of people to have some sympathy and support look at how they are calling her names here & someone is even blaming her for being abused! Yuck, Ghanaians must evolve from that cave mentality
Am not in support of domestic violence. But some of this women r riding on the back of this domestic violence thing to misbehave too much. Some women have become greedy, disrespectful and infidels all because they'll have people to defend them wen they're being mistreated by their partners. Ladies, pls learn to be God fearing, honest, and submisive to ur partners just as God instructed u and it will atleast reduce domestic violence if not stop it. Also stop demanding too much from ur partners and rather be supportive. U ladies demand more than ur man can afford and they work hard to provide only for u to cheat on him or disrespect him. Wat do u think his reactions will be?. Men loves to be respected just us ladies loves to be pampered. Let both take notice.
If you continue to insult and disrespect your man, if you continously nag and say 10 when he says 1 , then be careful because some Will leave peacefully others will stay and beat the hell out of you until you leave your self. You can always complain of domestic abuse but check your life too may be you are the cause. One year into our marriage when she was 7months pregnant in a conversation she got angry and before I realized she got angry and gave me two dirty slaps that got me dazed for some munites, she again smashed my computer on the floor and almost destroyed it. Am the gentle type and the last thing I would hv done was to lay my hands on a man let alone my wife and a pregnant woman for that matter. As I sat down sobering and thinking whether to end the marriage or report her to police or her parents so many thoughts came to mind but one that pushed was to discipline her immediately or I live the rest of my in the marriage as a woman and she would be the man and the consequences will lead to the collapse of the marriage. I immediately gathered courage for "Jihad" a holy retaliation and discipline, I carefully beat the hell out of her mindful of the fact that she was pregnant and since then she's even careful in her choice of words. Trust me I wasn't proud of what I did and it has never happened again in 10years but it was very necessary at the time. Some guys have extreme anger so taking this approach may be dangerously disastrous. Some women just can't zip up , we need patience and understanding to handle their tantrums. Heaven help us.
I agree with Anonymous 100% ! She's just embarrassed over her recent jiltering issue by her Siera Leonean boyfriend and she wants to cover up. We can think far more than U Vicky so come out with another story wai
