The Japan Embassy in Ghana, will on Saturday, April 12, hand over a newly constructed Baseball and Softball field to the Ghana Baseball and Softball Association (GBSA).
The field located at the Labone Senior High School, forms part of the government of Japan's efforts in promoting the sport in Ghana.
A statement from the Public Relations outfit of Japan Embassy in Ghana said, the field was constructed with funds from Japan�s Grant Assistance for Cultural Grassroots Projects (GCGP) and Ohayo Ghana Foundation.
According to the statement, the ceremony will be preceded by a game between Japanese Select Side and a Ghanaian Select team.
It added that, the Association for Friends o African Baseball (AFAB) from Japan and the Africa Development Foundation in United States of America (USA) will also donate baseball and softball gears to the Ghana Baseball and Softball Association.
