Sulley Muntari is set to miss the Milan derby early next year due to international commitments with Ghana.Though the Black Stars have qualified for next year's World Cup in South Africa, Ghana are still keen on taking part in the African Cup of Nations in January in Angola.
This means the Ghanaian will not be available when they play their arch-rivals as the hunt for the Serie A is expected to get heated by then.
The competition may also affect Muntari's Inter Milan colleague Samuel Eto'o as the Cameroonian will be called up his country for the same tournament.
Both players may stay for the fixture against Chievo on January 6, but are ruled out against Siena (Jan 9), Bari (Jan 17), and Milan on January 24.
