Ghana Football Association vice president Fred Pappoe believes the pre-mature retirement of Black Stars first choice goalie Richard Kingson could cause further problems for the team.
Kingson, 33, has become a target of many exasperated local fans with many pressurizing the unemployed gloves man to retire from the Black Stars.
Pappoe who also doubles as the chairman of the Black Stars management committee claims supporters of Kingson could also target the keeper who will replace him.
Kingson is the number keeper. People are calling for his removal but what if he is removed and his fans also start taking aims at the keeper who replaces him as a result? he said.
Ghana players and officials have thrown their support behind the former Blackpool, Wigan and Birmingham City keeper.
