Ghana U-20 coach Sellas Tetteh says he gets the same feeling of a title winning side in the current Black Satellites team as the victorious 2009 group.

The 56-year-old was the man at the helm when Ghana made history by winning an incredible treble in 2009.

The Black Satellites were crowned WAFU, Africa and World champions under his tenure – a feat never attained by any African side at U20 level.

The ex Rwanda coach now says he sees similar title winning traits in the current team reminiscent of that of 2009.

“It is quite similar to the other (2009) team,” he said.

“We played seven matches and the results were outstanding and it’s the same thing now.

“They also believe they have something ahead that can push them into the limelight and make them future stars.

“This is self motivation and it brings the best out of themselves.

“So let’s see how it goes, we are going for the fine tuning and we will see how it goes.”

Ghana is drawn in Group A where it will face tournament hosts, Algeria, Benin and Egypt.
