Hearts of Oak came out tops with a lone goal victory in their regional derby clash against Amidaus Professionals at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Midfielder Thomas Abbey scored four minutes from time to lift the Phobians off the relegation zone.
The debutants were a tall mountain for the hosts matching them during the barren first half.
The Phobians made the most of their numerical advantage, after the visitors ended the game with two players less.
On 86 minutes, Abbey fired home to wrap up victory for his side, their fifth in the second round.
Elsewhere in Tema, hosts Tema Youth came from behind to hold Liberty Professionals to a 1-1 draw.
