Former Black Stars number one safest pair of hands, Richard Kingson after his recent call up into the Black Stars has come under severe criticism over his age but the Cyprus based goalkeeper says he is unperturbed.
According to the 35 year old Richard Frank Paul "Olele" Kingson, age has no place as far as association football is concerned.
Speaking on Asempa fm's Ultimate Sports Morning Show on Monday, the experienced goalkeeper said age is just a number and not the most important thing but rather what one does on the field is what matters.
I am training very hard and what I believe in goalkeeping is training and not the age, if you train hard I know you can still do well, he noted.I also believe that because of my training I know I can do better than before, he said.
Sounding spiritual, Kingson basked his hope in God for another successful stint with the Black Stars, as a Christian I am praying and believe that God will see me through". He added.
Kingson currently plays for Doxa Katokopias FC in Cyprus and is part of three goalkeepers fighting for Ghana's goalkeeping place in the World Cup play-off with the Pharaohs of Egypt on October 15,2013 at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
