The Founder and President of Premier League outfit King Faisal, Alhaji Karim Gruzah says he is ready to put the club up for sale despite a recent denial by members of his management.
Gruzah in an interview with Kumasi-based Fox FM has admitted finding it increasingly difficult to stem the rising levels of liabilities at the club, including unpaid salaries and match winning bonuses due to lack of funds hence his preparedness to sell.
If I find anyone ready to buy the club, I swear to God, I would sell to the person [sic], the outspoken administrator said on Fox FM.
The running of a football club in Ghana has become much more expensive and I have come to accept the fact that I need help. Our sponsorship money for the league is not forthcoming and I have resorted to taking loans from banks and support from well-meaning individuals to maintain King Faisal, Gruzah added.
Owner of former Premier League media rights holders Optimum Media Prime (OMP), Talal Fattal once offered Gruzah $200,000 to buy King Faisal, but Grunsah turned the offer down.
