Leicester City has pulled out of the race to sign Ghana defender Daniel Amartey after the 21-year-old fell short of 80% national team games that qualifies one for work permit.
Amartey was expected to sign for the English Club before the transfer deadline day on Monday having agreed terms with the Club.
Liecster were reported to have agreed on an 8million euro deal with Copennhagen to secure the signature of the highly-rated Ghanaian defender.
The former Djurg�rdens IF defender was arguably one of the best Ghanaian defenders having made 27 appearances for Copenhagen.
