Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakasu has been named in the BBC African World Cup qualifier best XI.
The Las Palmas midfielder was outstanding in the Black Stars 2-0 triumph over Comoros at the Babayara Sports Stadium on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old found the breakthrough for Ghana in the 18thminute after expertly bending his superb free kick over Comoros goalkeeper Ben Boina before Jordan Ayew sealed victory with a wonderful strike late in the game.
Other players who made the team was Equatorial Guinea goalkeeper Felipe Ovono, South African defender Thabo Matlabo, Libyan Mohamed El Monir, Stupila Sunzu of Zambia as well as Nigerian center-back Efe Ambrose.
DR Congo’s Yannick "Yala" Bolasie, Naby Kieta of Guinea, Mubarak Wakasu and Uganda’s Farouk Miya complete the midfielders in the eleven man list released by the BBC.
Islam Slimani and Thievy Bifouma who were both on target for Algeria and Congo respectively were also named as they two striking pair in the team.
