People are saying that the only reason why persons like you and I want to come into ‘power’ is to enrich ourselves, our friends, and our families. People are saying we are all alike and only have our self-interest at heart.
People have given up on the Leadership of our country. This is from empirical evidence and behavioural analysis of what is currently going on.
I cringe when I am told that the Citizens of a country elect leaders whose values sum up the values of those Citizens.
What makes me cringe more is how a foreign firm like Meralco, which is the only entity in the PDS Consortium that has the technical and financial clout to be in that Consortium, will be part of a grand scheme and/or allow itself to be used by the puppet masters that control government business to perpetrate this grand scheme.
Leaving into the hands of a few individuals, who have no prior or current expertise, the monopoly of distributing electricity to the consumer.
This is even better than owning the state lotteries.
The next thing we shall see is Public Utilities Regulatory Commission increasing tariffs mainly skewed towards the distribution portion of the power value chain.
More is expected of our leaders in the fight to reduce the inequality in our economy; an Oxfam report recently released raises this issue where in Africa, the Richest 0.0001% own 40% of the continents entire wealth.
For God sake, Our People are asking for just the basics and instead of fighting for their basic rights by giving them access to jobs, which that will elevate them from poverty, and make affordable the basic needs – such as healthcare, education, potable water, electricity, and shelter – all we find each day we wake up are schemes to make rich only those that have the power, directly – and indirectly by the puppet master – to decide the outcomes of many government business decisions by tweaking procurement rules, policies, and laws.
THE VALUES OF OUR LEADERSHIP HAVE GONE DOWN THE DRAIN!!!
I REFUSE TO ACCEPT THAT!!!!!
Ghana deserves better!
All I know is that as a country, we cannot continue on this path!!!

How come we only have this sense of moral high ground when we are kicked out of our positions and sitting at home doing nothing? You had all the money and resources at your beck and call, travelling and staying in 5-star hotels etc. All this while you did not know there was something wrong with the system. We did not hear a single word from you. Now that all that largese have been taken away, you have quickly developed high morals. You are becoming an irrit@nt.
Look at this one too. What happened when you were at GNPC? Give us a break!!! The oil money is been used on Free SHS instead of politicians like you sharing it.
Hooo, Alex. You want power? You too? Ghana will survive you!
IS THAT HOW YOU CAMPAINING TO BE MAHAMA'S VICE.THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU WERE NOT INTERESTED. MMMMnnn
When they want power, they play that populistic Card and say good stuffs, but when they have the power they amass wealth so much that they forget hitherto, where they came from. And the promises they made to be here. I bet, this guy has Vice-Presidential ambission and it seems he has got the rehtoric and the demeanor to test waters. But once NDC always NDC. Oh good God how I wished you came down to help CPP refine and update Nkrumah's political Philosophy to solve contemporary ploblems. Then, the NDC kind of Tradition which is neither Nkumahist nor Social Democracy, has ruled longer than any Party in Ghana and therefore, has failed Ghana, in sum, more than any other Administration. Be it Military, JJ or whatever. Ghanaians are simply fed up with all those corruptions and kleptocracy. To be honest, my dear God, NPP seems more credible than the NDC but a functional Democracy needs credible and competent Opposition. Which the NDC lacks, otherwise, Ghana would not have been where she is today as an Under-developed or developing Nation. The value is the same, all the bad attributes ie poor Health care, Education, Economy and what have you.
Look at this loot and share now a saint and talking like he has morals. ***barred word***'s like mould family should give us a break. his sister Betty Mould helped Woyome to loot Ghanaians now he has morals to talk. Who don't know what you did at the GNPC. Please don't annoy us.
We need to analys what the man is saying but not to jump to conclution let us put politics aside. Pls this Ghana we are talking abt here. You and l know very well that we are suffering under this family and friend government.
For the information of Mr Mould, a lot more of us have now seen better leadership in this country since the days of John Kufour, unlike what his "behavioral analysis" points to. The oil money has not been given to an individual or group of NDC activists, but spread across the country to benefit all SHS-going students. That's a far better leadership over our collective resources. Your plan to create a sense of despondency in this country is not aligned with the reality, in fact. We were served very amateurish leadership only 2.5 years ago under yours and Mahama's leadership, but all of a sudden, you're the people with a light-bulb experience, an epiphany that's supposed to help solve all the problems in this country. No, we won't buy it, because the NDC itself is the embodiment of all of Ghana's problems!
What kind of leadership did this man, Alex Mould give when he was at National petroleum Authority NPA then at Ghana National Petroleum Corporation GNPC He signed that ***barred word*** deal with ENI that makes our own natural gas more expensive than we importing LPG from abroad and then converting it back to natural gas; regasification. Few years after signing such devastating deal on behalf of Ghana you turn round and talk about leadership.Ehen you were holding GNPC board meetings in London so you could watch Liverpool EPL matches Those frivolous spending could have gone a long way to bring some dignity to our people. And his sister Betty who could give away our nation's money to Woyome,Waterville and dead companies like CP a minute silence will teach him how the dignity of our people can be enhanced.Indeed all we ask for is for people who get the privilege of controlling the nation's resources to think about the poverty of our people when they are in power but not when they are no longer in power. After all being wiser after the fact is no brainer
