The Supreme Court has called off the Oral examination of businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome by the Deputy Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame.
According to an Accra-based Kasapa FM’s reporter, the sitting judge Justice Ampah Benin is unavailable for the hearing, which was slated for today (Monday).
Mr Woyome was expected at the Supreme Court today to be interrogated on how his GHc51.2m judgement debt received from the State could be refunded.
It is unclear the next sitting date – but Kasapa FM report says “Today’s sitting has been cancelled, because the judge (Justice Ampah Benin) is on an interview panel at the Ghana School of Law concerning their admission”
“Normal sitting resumes on October 10, so I am sure it would be listed among the cases for October 10,” a source at the registrar’s office stated.
The oral examination of Mr Woyome started on July 24 and was expected to continue today October 2, following a three-month legal vacation.

Corruption will never stop in Africa. Look at the attitude of even the Judge. He chooses an interview over this case? are we serious at all?
Wow! Are your sure this is the reason? How can the interview at the Law School be more important than this case which was fixed for the day by the judge? Priority! Priority!! Priority!!!
This is a deliberate delay by the AGs office because they are waiting for further information to prove their case in court; don't forget external Fraud investigators have been contracted to assist this Government to indentify hidden stolen monies besides it is an attempt attempt to ***barred word*** and stress Woyome; they know the man is under pressure and all eyes are on this ewe thiff; 'why gain the whole world and lose your soul; the whole case will give Woyome sleepless nights
Waste of time,,no one can touch woyome,,touching him will result in a brutal civil unrest.
Hahaha, the Judge has been given some '***barred word*** meat'to absent himself.
we shall know them by their fruits.
Oh I miss military rule....this non.sense can't happen under a Military govt
This is so unprofessional of our judiciary... This case was adjourned prior to the start of the judicial holiday...Why should such crucial national issue be sacrificed for an institution's interview? With this kind of attitude towards corruption, how can we discourage such social canker in the country? This is shameful!
Didnt the judge know of such engagement before he adjoined the rearing to today?
We are careful to criticize the judiciary but what sort of planning and organisation can cause such mishandling of such public centred issue . Our judicial planning must be up and doing without such controversies.
